I do also wonder, if you totalled up last seasons, plus this seasons, just how ridiculous would that gap at the top be

most days lost by miles and also joint most injuries in total. hard to see us being able to maintain consistent results whilst that is happening. the really annoying ones however are the ones like o’riley and pedro, who were injured by awful tackles from carthorse players

That's fair in the case of Jay Williams. Not in regard to Morgan Gibbs-White, though. He's not a carthorse - just an absolute ****.

The odd thing is just how long some of our players stay out for.
Eze did his hamstring and is back playing within 4 weeks.
Milner and Webster pick up mystery knocks and are out for months

Current status of our 6 players out has a possible return for Joel

So what happened with Welbeck and O’Riley today?

Our young manager has no chance with this injury circus.

Also where the f*** are Webster and Milner? Pound for pound Milner must be the biggest waste of wages we’ve ever seen.

I swear Kadioglu and Hinshelwood were a 'should be back for Leicester' situation, in fact I seem to remember thinking Ferdi would be back for Bournemouth? May be imagining that. Giving Milner another year was an insane decision in hindsight, though a fair amount of us said it was when it happened.

The new doctor certainly seems to have made f*** all difference.

Bit unfair to Milner. Sure, he's clearly physically done as he can't keep fit anymore, but the stability and experience he brought in the beginning of the season was invaluable. If we had a rough start the current dip in form would be a much bigger worry.

Would be quite nice to see him back on the pitch as often as possible, I think we're missing him and his calm.

Seriously though, where are they? I might have missed it but where are the crack reporters like Owen and Naylor? There was no mention of new injuries so where were Welbeck and O’Riley today? Maybe a reporter might actually report on this, or are they still in the free hospitality suite?

I do not like seeing the name "Hinshelwood" and "knee injury" in the same sentence.

Anything on Welbeck?
I’d like to think that this cryptic to keep Arsenal guessing….

Can I post this? Copy and pasted

There is no schedule for Welbeck returning. Could be quick or could be two, three, four weeks.

He does not have any pain and is back on the pitch.

No mention of Wieffer? Hopefully this is because he could be playing.
I have a feeling that with injured players like Welbeck, Hinshelwood and Ferguson that they will be re introduced after the FA Cup. There’s a small break provided by the Norwich game which will allow further healing time, as I’m pretty sure we’ll play some of the fringe players in the cup such as Solly, Webster, Adingra, too give them much needed game time.
The injury to Ferdi is really frustrating.

All you need to get yourself a few years of injury problems is to f*** up your periodisation and football conditioning for 6-12 months. Turning a body ready for PL takes time, ruining it doesn't.

In February 2023 we we're bottom of the season injury list after a few years of having above average injuries.

Then for one reason or another, quite possibly related to Roberto and in this particular regard even more so his staff, we collapsed in this area and its going to take time to know/assume that we're doing the right things.

We could be doing all the right things right now without it looking much different in the treatment room. If we're in a similar situation next year I'm going to be concerned about the persistent larger-than-normal injury list but as it stands I think we need to give the manager, physio coach and doctors more time to adress possible issues.
