I don't think it was particularly rammed that afternoon. I was in much tighter crowds at the time, and it was nothing like the Clock End at Highbury for the semi-final. I'm not sure we had much more than a quarter of the whole attendance, which was about 16,000. That Moy's End was quite sizeable, as you can tell from this pic of its 2013 demolition. I was a bit annoyed that I never got the free red scarf that everyone else seemed to get! Yep 2-2 but I still managed to get down to the GG (from here) for the replay, despite it being postponed at least twice.

I still have my red scarf from that game.

I didn’t remember it being free, but maybe I just forgot that detail.

See note above from Simster. Thats my recollection of the day. Scary as you know what crammed into that terrace. Hillsborough-esque with all due respect for the 92. I was 19, well built and can't imagine how it was for some of the older fans that day.

I now think I must have been recalling one of my many other visits to Peterborough. For the match played on snow, I took a girlfriend with me (fortunately she had the sense to bring a big hot flask!) and we took up a position against the wall behind the goal, so didn't experience much of a crush. The coldest I have ever been at an afternoon match though, with only the layer of snow preventing the pitch from freezing.

That was when the longest river in the world was the Atlantic! India appears to have warmed up a bit since, unless Antarctica was in the Tropics. Difficult to tell without the Equator being marked.

And why doesn't Bath feature? Elfrida, consort of King Edgar, was crowned Queen of England at Bath Abbey 400 years earlier, so I can't believe its population fell below 1000.

Greece: it opened in 1869 (and was steam operated until 1904 when it was electrified), the underground as we know it now it was mostly developed since 2000.
Turkey: A very short line (less than 2000ft, operatable still today), the Istanbul Line since 1875
