Anyone know if this is possible, I've eaten about a dozen packets of Walkers Chicken Tikka Masala crisps today, and though they are blindingly tasty I'm now a little worried

I honestly believe we are all born with a Crisp addiction. It's just a question of resisting.

You'll do well to resist the charms of the Ham and Pickle Brannigans though.

My best mate, who's a fitness instructor, once told me that if I ate a packet of crisps a day I would have a heart attack by the time I'm 40.

:nono:

As he was doing a degree in Sport And Exercise Science at the time, I believed him and cut way, way down on my crisp addiction. Then, about ten years later over a few beers, I found out it wasn't a fact he'd learned in one of his lectures... it was something his mum had told him when he was six!

A decade missing out on all that lovely that salt and saturated fat... the sod. I am making up for lost time now.

:lolol:

this is a bloomin funny story trueblue .........

Actually I think there is something addictive about crisps. I never eat them, but the kids started having them in their lunch box and I started eating salt and vinegar ones, and I would say there is something that is addictive in there.

it is well known fact that crisps can become addictive, especially if you cut them with top quality cocaine and snort them up your nose.

An addiction can be treated as a medical problem.

But crisps are nice so I'll stick with them - especially sweet and sour also sensations, yummy !

I am never more than 2 minutes from a packet of nice'n'spicy Nik Naks.

The worst thing that can happen to me in my daily quest to avoid crisps is to go into a different newsagent. For in these ne'er before visited realms lie oddities of different colours and sizes with the words ALL NEW on the front. "Ooooooh," i doth yell, "a new flavour." and i have to buy and try. Whether it be cheese hula hoops or McCoys claiming they've found a new recipe for 'salted', i can't leave them alone.

Please help.
Send more crisps.

I once shared a flat with a sales rep for a food distribution company.

He used to bring home whole boxes of crisp-like substances, mainly made from reconstituted soya-style vegetable matter, colourings, permitted additives - and stuff called "flavoring", whatever that is. They were usually marketed on the back of the latest film or TV craze and - in quantity - were disgusting.

But it was effective aversion therapy.

One side effect of consuming a whole box (and here I'm talking about a 72 pack) of something called "Kung Fui" is a lifelong suspicion of any crispy thing.

Although I still have a weakness for plain crisp sandwiches (thin white sliced bread, lots of butter).
