Indeed. O’Riley is two years younger and has 42 career goals with 52 career assist. Moder has 26 career goals and 23 career assists with only 3 assists in the Premier League. They are similar heights though.
Moder might be two years older, but he's lost two years to injury - and I wonder how many more goals and assists he would have had playing for the only team in a league that could win every week because the opposition was so much weaker?
Indeed both Moder, Gilmour and even effing Dahoud would have a fat bag of goals and assists if they were playing in the Scottish league. Or Polish league for that matter.

I think Moder’s value has dropped substantially since his awful injury.After O'Riley was injured the club would have looked at options such as :
1 - Bring in a player on loan ( if suitable and affordable options were available at short notice ).
2 - Retain Gilmour ( if he wasn't too set on the Italian experience ).
3 - Keep Moder until January/next summer ( depending on what bids were in for him ).
4 - Look for a suitable free agent.

3 ( Moder ) with 5 ( Ayari ) looks for now most likely.
Today's squad suggests that he's behind Milner, Baleba and Ayari in the centre midfield roles and quite a few others in the more attacking roles. He'll only be getting an opportunity if we get more injuries.
