Can you imagine how long you would last in any other industry if the company had to publicly apologise for YOUR cock up every week.
Until the next general election?

They’re just about to have Dermot on Sky discussing our ‘goal’. Brooks, as expected, has now been removed from VAR duties tonight and on Wednesday.
……and incidentally where was the Assistant VAR ref on Saturday - just as hopeless

Why has he not come out and given a personal apology seeing as it’s such a massive and stupid error. It’s pathetic that these officials hide behind the PGMOL rather than taking responsibility for their incompetence.

Why should he. Sanchez hasn’t come out and explained his mistake. Caicedo hasn’t explained his thought process for wanting away and that stadium.

Dermot still backing refs as much as he can though. He’s just defended Jared Gillett(another poor ref) for sending off Lemima of Wolves against Saints. It looked ridiculously harsh to me and a very poor decision

two games

TWO GAMES!!!

his utter incompetence could cost Tony Bloom multi millions

A complete and utter joke - beggars belief

So in two games time he will either be back refereeing a game, or back behind the screens.

And also;

"New referees’ chief Howard Webb has called a meeting of all his officials in the wake of a weekend of mistakes in the Premier League that led to the former World Cup final referee in the humiliating position of having to ring two clubs to explain the errors.

Webb returned from Major League Soccer at the beginning of December vowing to drive up standards in the English game.

However, a positive start has been wrecked by two catastrophic VAR mistakes that triggered a public acknowledgement of ‘human error’.

Webb then contacted Arsenal and Brighton to explain what had gone wrong.

Both situations related to the lines drawn to determine offside. In the Brighton situation, the line was drawn from the wrong player. In Arsenal’s it wasn’t drawn at all. The second situation was made even worse because the official responsible, Lee Mason, has moved onto dedicated VAR duties.

Webb will use the meeting to understand the issues that lay behind the mistakes. He will also tell his officials they cannot be repeated if managers and players are to retain trust in the system".

You're all very naughty and stupid boys - don't do it again, becuase if you do - we will maybe threaten you with a two game rest.
