I did not see this, but what do you mean trying to invade the pitch? I'm no expert but it must be quite easy to invade the pitch? There's lots to aim for, and it is only protected by a small wall?

I was near the front in S1H, the chap who got pitch-side looked completely off his face. Yes, there seemed to be people lining up to give him and his mate a slap - at least one lost their cap. His mate seemed to appear mid row in the corner. It was really bizzare and I wouldn't trust my memory.

I sit in the swc my daughter in the front row was petrified, the group of 4/6 lads where Villa one had a villa top (was told to keep it covered) apparently they where no risk so decided not to kick em out , 2nd goal goes one of them wanted to go in the Villa end that’s when it all went off as I say my daughter at one point said I never want to come again , have the full video , sent to barber and his reply was away supporters will try and get close the the away end as possible in future we should go in the family stand !!!

I'm not sure he didn't jump up on the concrete barrier, wobble, fall off and the behave like a startled rabbit. It was comical.

You may have been just in front of us, we noticed that and I think you left shortly after. Otherwise it other children being upset as well. I must have seen him trying to jump the photographers and assumed he was coming from the away end.

I know, sorry. I meant the chaps behaviour and the reluctance of the stewards to get involved at first.
I had a proper argument with Rosie the steward on the concourse tell her and the bald one they need re training as they wouldn’t eject them and took at least 2 mins to get down to the front they bottled it completely it was down the players response steward that actually did anything can’t wait to move next season

That’s now Arsenal West Ham Man Utd last season this season most games away fans in the swc may as well make it a neutral zone

I knew my memory wouldn't be reliable as it really isn't something that you expect nowadays. The steward sat in the corner who spent most of the time telling people to sit down seemed to disappear. I'd not been in that stand before but there was a good mix of younger, older and disabled fans. Not great if they are knowingly letting away fans in, or can't stop it. I hope your daughter is OK today and it doesn't put her off in future.

The problem was we took her best friend with her so had to explain to the friends mum what happened 🤦, the stewarding in that stand is unacceptable but the seats are really good and been there for 2 years and made good friends but for the reason of away fans and the stewards we are moving to the north , but yeah thanks she’s ok her and her mate telling everyone at school what happened i expect now

I hope you’re near the front or she won’t be able to see a thing.

Well done for taking her to the football, my kids all started coming with me when they were 4 years old, off to places like Crewe, Walsall and Mansfield. They’re university age and older now but still come with me. Having time with them at the football is probably my favourite thing in life. I really hope it hasn’t put your daughter off too much it’s a great thing to be able to share with her.
