I’m probably quoting the wrong person here to suggest FH is getting the time afforded to GP but starting with a much better squad. Anyway my point is that the football is not as good as Potter TRIED to get us playing. At least it was obvious what he was trying to do. It is just as dull and infuriating to watch the pedestrian build up and we no longer have a manager capable of changing it as we get sucker punched in matches as is now happening again most games like it did early season. Almost a season gone and I am still not sure what the “process” is. Worryingly I’m not sure that the players know either :lolol:
Interesting

I think we're more versatile and we're certainly doing better than the first season or two under Gpot . . . . . And Gpot had a squad just as good.

like many things, the baseline has changed/moved.

I've not seen Cashin play, but there are a lot of very confident people binning him off already. . . . Next season is his toime/chance. And thats less time than a lot of very expensive players got Before they came good and we cashed in.

People with a hip problem move ona certain way, with a certain pained expression.

Watching Dunky was like watching Andy Murray trying to get through a few rounds at Wimbledon shortly before he retired
Such as a sprained Shatner's Bassoon?
Buggers up the time perception no end.

I'd argue that GPot's squad was even better, just think about it, he had Caicedo and MacAllister two truly great midfield players, Cucurella who despite what some critics say was an excellent left back for us, we had Dunky in his prime of course, and a younger Danny Welbeck too. Bruno at right back was captain fantastic.

The only positions where l think we are better off now, are in goal with Bart taking the gloves off Sanchez, plus Kauru Mitoma we certainly had no one like him.

neither Caicedo nor Macallister were anything like the players they are now . . . .took tham at least a year to get up to speed . . . . Which is why, I think, and my guess is, TB also thinks, next year is the season the new players, and manager really deliver.

It's never that simple, but the similarities are there.

The end of an era, another England CB is causing defeats elsewhere.
