Yes - and I’d be fine with that.

The gambling industry in the UK ruins hundreds of thousands of lives and needs severe regulation. If the Albion loses money from it, so be it.

FWIW I don’t think we would, TB operates worldwide and would be fine.
So you are happy that TB 'exploits' better mugs abroad as long as his wings are clipped in the UK?

I think.....if I think about it....operating within the law is fine by me.

But I don't bet so I am immune from that sort of temptation.

I doubt anyone knows for sure, but I was thinking of horse racing, professional poker and Star Lizard
He owned the land in Lancing where all the new houses are being built plus it’s on record he did property deals in Australia.
Poker is a hobby that he enjoys.

Really?

Let’s put Star Lizard and his horses aside.

If I had his data I’d be betting on horses here and in Ireland. If I had his poker ability I’d be playing large stakes online. And if I owned a large bookmaker or poker site I’d be employing underwriting client execs to try to spot those sorts of accounts.

Of course he’s got property too, of course the above is hypothetical. Makes you think though.

This.

If TB operates within the law in others countries then fine by me.

If we’re changing the law in this country to protect our citizens from the worst of gambling, then that’s even more fine by me.

So Labour is putting up a lobbyist who has worked for the gambling industry. Unbelievable.
I work for the oil and gas industry.

In reality, I only work for businesses that are pursuing transitional engineering solutions and carbon capture storage projects.

But on paper, it would say that I work for the oil and gas industries.

I’d like to hear from then man himself about the work he has done in that area before jumping to support Owen Jones label for him.

I assume that Darren Rodwell is on the Right of the Party as he doesn't seen to have been barred from standing? Perhaps instead sexual offences are not considered serious enough?

I imagine become Labour are still looking at the evidence to see whether they launch an investigation.

It’s very odd that the complainant has gone to the press at the same time as going to the Labour Party.

If there is enough evidence to launch an investigation, he should be barred immediately. From the article above, it seems that a smear campaign can’t be ruled out.

See also Neil Coyle (right of the party) who was allowed to stand after racism and sexual harassment.

Very different indeed. There has been an investigation, he has admitted his guilt, he has served his punishment.

The claims do look a bit odd. Victim claims he kept buying himself drinks, Labour MP says he doesn’t drink (I appreciate he could buying soft drinks but it’s not usual behavior for a tee-totaller). Victim claims they met to discuss a development. Labour guy states no recollection of this meeting.

If Labour guy is telling the truth this should be easy to prove.
