If City - or any of the other big clubs - get hit with big points deductions, heavy fines or even relegation, it won't be long before the spectre of the ESL raises its ugly head again (and frankly they'd be welcome to f*** off)
This is the risk.

Both Madrid and Marseille have been in serious flounce mode about staying in their Leagues, notionally due to biased referees (Madrid!), but surely as a precursor to another ESL initiative.

Whilst it's tempting to agree that City would be welcome to p*** off to the ESL, personally I would prefer to see off the ESL.

Points deduction and massive fine would be great though, despite this risk.

The decision is supposed to be this month.
If the penalty is a points deduction, it should be applied immediately, as the Everton and Forest ones were.

I seem to recall that there would be no appeal option available as the decision is coming from an independent board and not the EPL.
But I could be wrong.
If so, then it's going to get very messy indeed.

If guilty, they need to be kicked out of the PL, not given a points deduction. It's then up to each league to vote to admit them, or not. This should see them relegated out of the leagues similar to Glasgow Rangers.

If their money bags owners stick with them, they will be back, but in the mean time another club will have taken their place and it will be very difficult for them to break into the top four again without cheating.

Kicked out and forbidden to re-enter at any point?

Not holding my breath, City will be able to expensive lawyer their way out of this with delays going on for another four years or more. That’s assuming they are even found guilty.
My understanding is there can be no appeal from either side.

My thoughts are that the FA will not have the balls to go head to head with Abu Dhabi! It’s going to be a fudge and a massive fine imo.

Is there any scenario where appeals are not permitted in UK law though? That in itself is worth a court case :lolol:

I thought the same but just checked & apparently both sides can appeal.

FA?

It's the Premier League who have brought the charges, not the FA.

They could be deducted 50 points this season and probably still stay up, that's how shit the bottom 3 are.

Anyway the EPL LOVE money so it will be an eight figure fine and probably deducted enough points so they finish outside the top 5 this season. That will be it.

It will go on for as many years as it takes to find them not guilty.
