Come on, he was playing at right back. He set up the first goal as well.
Johnny Crumplin, in the same position, scored FOUR in one game against former European Champions Steau B. That’s the benchmark! This chomp couldn’t assist an old lady across the road never mind get us a goal.

I’m guessing you’re trying to be funny but in case you’re not…

Won the majority of his battles, intercepted a few attacks, passing was assured and got an assist.
And yet racked up another defeat. The guy is shite. But still the apologists will give him another ten seasons grace to improve. Meanwhile, other clubs sign players that make an immediate impact AND continue to improve.

Yep, if fans are patient he really is going to be a good player but they won't be. If he gets a run of games and plays in his correct position he'll be fine.
Patience wears thin, and shit players don’t improve generally. If they do, they’re sold rapidly. So what’s the fecking point of this guy? He’s offered nothing this season on the pitch.

What are you waffling about?

We’re talking about how he played today. If you thought he was shite in today’s game, you’re clueless!

He did okay there but Brentford largely played down the right hand side, so he didn’t really get tested. His positioning was poor early on for a few balls over the top to Schade. Nice cross for our first goal though.

He’s not going to win a foot race with Schade. Nor would any of our defenders. Caught twice early on, worked it out, made some good interceptions and tackles and played well going forward. One of the few positives - possibly the only one.

Yep give him remainder of this season, and all of next. Patience is what we need. Every player deserves ten years at least to develop at Brighton. Why arrive and make an immediate impact when our fanbase will give you eternity to boss a game? Or score? Nah. Let’s just be nice and provincial, know our place and be happy we spunked a gift of a season to win something or qualify for Europe. Let’s finish 12thnor 13th and be happy! Yay! Life’s a beach :)

Again you’re waffling while the rest of us are talking about today’s performance. You are very odd.

So, finish above our position in the wage table every season (15th)? Not bad considering our budget.

I think he’s played much better in others (Leicester, West Ham), I’m another who didn’t think he was particularly great, okay, but a long way behind Welbeck for me.

They at first started targeting him, realised he was solid, then switched their focus. Fair play to him, I've been a huge critic but thought he was brilliant today.
