Johnny Crumplin, in the same position, scored FOUR in one game against former European Champions Steau B. That’s the benchmark! This chomp couldn’t assist an old lady across the road never mind get us a goal.
Yes - but football geniuses don't come around very often.
He did okay there but Brentford largely played down the right hand side, so he didn’t really get tested. His positioning was poor early on for a few balls over the top to Schade. Nice cross for our first goal though.
Maybe they played down the right because they were getting nowhere down their left?

Yep give him remainder of this season, and all of next. Patience is what we need. Every player deserves ten years at least to develop at Brighton. Why arrive and make an immediate impact when our fanbase will give you eternity to boss a game? Or score? Nah. Let’s just be nice and provincial, know our place and be happy we spunked a gift of a season to win something or qualify for Europe. Let’s finish 12thnor 13th and be happy! Yay! Life’s a beach :)

This was only his 5th start of the season. He scored in his 4th, got injured and then missed 8 games.

So yeah, I think he deserves some patience.

We scored from his cross & another cross was on a plate for mitoma.

He is NOT a right back though
The first minute confirmed that.

His best game so far for us tonight, IMO.

He's got great engine, strength and can put in a good ball.

Makes some mistakes, which might be the reason he's not with us long-term.

I would be happy if he's still with us next season.

I think he's excellent, if anything my only criticism of him would be he sometimes doesn't recognise how decent he is. In the first half he strode out a bit with the ball at his feet and he's quick. But he looked a bit tentative and wanted to move the ball on. Really wanted to see him keep it and be more adventurous and lo and behold, he did that in the sl2nd half and started causing them problems. Quick, good passer. Think he could be great next season with a bit more experience than the league and confidence.
