Was pretty poor. In real time I kind of missed Dunk's mess up as I was tearing my hair out over O'Riley losing the ball.
On the flipside, I'd missed MOR giving the ball away. Just watched the highlights and yes, it was a poor touch.

Hmmm................. they seem to be selectively sourcing quotes a bit! Tw*tter, mostly, weren't they? Don't think they consulted NSC much! Still, I guess their target audience is Celtic fans - giving 'em what they want is a good business model!
I did click on the story hoping to see some posts from here
Definitely Twitter quotes, i did see some comments on Twitter after the Palace game with good comments about MOR

As bad as Dunk's?
It was O'Riley's dreadful control receiving the ball (under zero pressure I might add), that led to him being dispossessed and them breaking on us. It doesn't absolve Dunk's cock-up, but if O'Riley had been concentrating, that goal would never have happened.

Understand why, but he played as though he had Lallana’s shooting boots on.
I wasn’t surprised he started post-Palace, because he played well up there, but was surprised he started in that position, because he doesn’t have enough positional discipline, which puts pressure on his midfield partner.
he has never looked like a midfield player to me , especially as we only play in the centre both have to pull their weight.

It is but it doesn't take into account the player. You would expect Salah to score a 0.23 xG chance more than Billy Paynter.
But isn’t this the point? e.g. Liverpool and Barndoor Billy’s team both have an xG of, say 3, and Liverpool score 5 whereas Barndoor Billy’s team don’t score any i.e. it’s a measure of how more clinical Liverpool are than Team Billy. Or how more clinical Liverpool are above average?

I think apart from the odd mishap he’s looking like a decent player just a bit ring rusty at present.
Wouldn’t say that.
One game etc., was disappointed with him Saturday.

I’m very much fence currently.

In fairness though, it has been a huge step up for him league wise and with injuries can’t be easy

Why disappointed he looked the most likely player to score, won a penalty hit the post and we fell apart when he went off.

We all see a game differently I suppose.

For sure.
Gave away the ball first goal with Dunk
Missed easy header
Missed one on one
Didn’t hold any sort of defensive shape out of possession

We’d already started to fall apart, Fab actually got that sub right IMO as he was blowing

Edit - on the pen, you could argue he could have shot first time. Even the post, whilst a good effort, the other side looked more open from my angle with a player blocking the goalie, but accept split second stuff.

Exactly. And if we want to be reaching Europe, we need players more on the Liverpool side rather than the Barndoor Billy side.

Feel like I might be going against the grain a bit here, but my feeling is that he still doesn’t have the physicality to play as a #10. He’s very tidy in what he does, but at this level that role requires so much.

Definitely a player in there, just need to work out where he plays, because the moment Rutter is available again I don’t know where he fits in.
