Dont worry dean , they normally walk the mascots round to the away section before ko . The only trouble is you will walk right in front of the , wait for it , THE ULTRAS !!!!!

2 rules,both reasonable,I had to provide a full kit for my grandson(thank you Santa)and I had to buy my own tickets beforehand.We got a stewards escort to the away end.

We have this great photo I took of him,the CCFC mascots,Greer,the Ref and assistants and Coventry captain.He is standing Ramrod straight with a look of sheer pride on his face,I have posted it on the thread Jo ran.

my son was mascot down at fratton about nine tears ago! lost 4-2 he loved it great atmo! should make quite an impact.

Man that's AWESOME
My son was mascot for the Reading game and he still refers to it as the best day of his life (so far)
He went into the changing rooms pre-warm up and met all the players, Nooney introduced him to everyone and they all signed his autograph book.
Then he went on the pitch and did some drills with the other mascots while the players warmed up. Of course in every drill he made sure he beat the Reading mascots (good lad!)
As for walking out with the team. GG said he could choose which player to go out with and so he chose Bridders!!
Did the line up, the hand shakes and then some pics. He was chuffed to bits.
My missus was pitch side and got a load of pics and some vids, I filmed what I could from the away end. Plus we got some official photos too.
My tips would be:
Get your son to take an autograph book with him
Take as many photos as you can and if you have access to an HD video camera then use it, if not nip then beg or borrow one and get as much footage as you can of them walking out onto the pitch.
It'll be AMAZING and he'll love it!!

Ah, reading all this is amazing. It really is a amazing opportunity. I know for a fact my son will pick Ashley Barnes.

Any idea how the kids become mascots? My two have both been STH's for 3 years. I did email someone at the club about a year ago to put them into a draw of some sort - Never heard a thing.

The names are randomly drawn from a HUGE waiting list for home games.
For away games you have more of a chance. Pre-requisites are (a) the right kit (b) a ticket.
However some friends have been checking and most of the ones left this season within easy travelling distance have mascots.
And to answer Hortons halftime iceberg. No you don't have to pay.

I was Macot numerous times. I was even Mascot at Charlton vs Albion at Shithurst. Best experience of my life. I was also Mascot for Steve Foster testimonial against Spurs at the Goldstone.
