Would he have done any better than Ayari? Made some nice passes, but nothing threatening and lost a lot of 1 v 1 battles? We have missed WBG these last few games.
We've 4 right wingers... 4 left wingers.. 6 attacking midfielders .. and no defensive midfielder to orchestrate it .. he is sadly missed..We have missed WBG these last few games.
It’s looking like a strange decision more and more every day.We have missed WBG these last few games.
It always looked like a strange decisionIt’s looking like a strange decision more and more every day.
Well, quite. As my earlier posts on this thread would agree. He’d walk into this team at the moment. It always looked like a strange decision

Thanks for making me laugh - I needed it after that sh**show.View attachment 193764
Where would he play though? This is our normal formation... hard to fit Billy in if we want to play with three or four number tens and one guy running around in midfield.
Don't think I have seen either of our right wingers get down to the byeline...View attachment 193764

Is that Gilmour or Ayari?Would he have done any better than Ayari? Made some nice passes, but nothing threatening and lost a lot of 1 v 1 battles?
I think they are similar players. With space to move into look great. When playing it out wide can look terrific. But in a claustrophobic midfield against 2 x 15 stone opponents don't enjoy the platform to show their undoubted talentsIs that Gilmour or Ayari?
I think Ayari is invisible at times.
Then you need to watch more carefully.Don't think I have seen either of our right wingers get down to the byeline...

I've never seen a professional footballer spend so much of the game controlling the ball with his ankle bones. Then you need to watch more carefully.
I was thinking about putting Minteh on the pitch, but he's most frequently seen off the pitch collecting balls for the opponents throw in or goal kick after his attempted dribble or first touch.
Aye, hence my 'swarm the football' comment yesterday. I have seen Mitoma getting a little bit of stick, but the antifootballers rushed players to him when he got the ball so was double/treble marked - he did pretty well considering that.I think they are similar players. With zero assists and zero goals he'd certainly slot straight in.We have missed WBG these last few games.
