I actually had to find out what changed.

The main thing that's different, is the old logo used to have a very thin white outer ring, after the blue one.

When comparing these on a screen with white background, you won't see the difference, but if you put this on a dark background you'll see that hidden white ring had been removed.

Makes a lot of sense tbh. They've always hid it from the badge on shirts anyway. But that ring looks very odd in digital places like games, or apps etc.
