I believe the club need permission to do beam backs, and I expect that permission to only be granted if the away tickets have sold out.
Yes. - But the next two away games are sold out and you'd imagine Spurs and Wolves will also sell out
Albion away games mostly sell out pretty quickly. I think the last one that didn't was Villa ? (might have sold out on the day ? )
so potentially its an option for most away games.

What might be interesting is whether they will attempt to curtail the beer luzzing if they show England games.
Good point. I imagine they will, Barber is not a fan of this behavior. It will be hideous if they don’t.

I see there’s a 12:30 KO too the day of the Palace game (Everton-Arsenal) and a 17:30 (Villa-Forest). I’m guessing they’ll be showing those too?

A Virtual Season Ticket that allows EPL fans to watch all their team's EPL matches officially, looms ever closer. Hurrah!
Next season - aside from Saturday 3pms - all PL games , midweek, Sundays, Friday, lunchtimes, evenings on Saturday will be available to Sky/TNT subscribers. (Sky are showing 215 games next season - 70% more than this season) . TNT are showing 52 matches.
So - 71% of all games will be televised.

Bit after the horse has bolted you'd think - they had years to forestall the rise of illegal streaming by making games more readily available but got lazy, greedy and complacent and now we have a Napster situation that's out of control

This would be hugely damaging for clubs the size of Brighton & Hove Albion.

But, hey, convenience for armchair fans!!!!1
Hard to say. The club would get revenue they don’t currently get from those games, eg from those who can’t or don’t attend games regularly. What proportion of current regulars would give up their visits in favour of the TV?

Man Utd would have 2m+ UK subscribers.

Brighton would have 40k tops.

With an even bigger disparity internationally.

Pretty obvious what that would lead to, financially, even if it started equitably.

(Anyway, miles off topic!)

600 capacity for this event, venue, seems very low to what was being promoted as a fan zone.
Also, presuming that quite a lot of people will attend only for the match, the place will be open quite a long time with an attendance far below even that figure. If, say, a bunch of local students turned up at 5.30pm without tickets, hoping to have a few beers and watch the later game, would they be turned away? Surely not. I'm guessing they'll let passers-by in as long as the venue is below capacity.

Note that the 600 limit is only for this event. On Amex matchdays it's between 1000 and 3000, presumably because the upper areas will be open + outside.

With all our Champions League fixtures next season, I suspect most of our fixtures will be on Saturdays.

They've been testing screens and sound system today.

As a fan of this sort of place - but with limited personal spending power - I'm a bit conflicted. I think it will be great for socialising with food/drinks and beamed-back victories could be epic... mainly hope to enjoy it on some home matchdays.

As a fan of this sort of place
For me, this sort of place is the physical manifestation of a living nightmare tbh - but I hope it is a big success for those that enjoy this type of experience.

And for this worthless contribution I shall be awarding this week’s “It’s The Taking Part That Counts’ trophy to myself.
