So funny to see everyone in here losing it over Trump / Farage / Musk :ROFLMAO:
Are the people “losing it” in the room with us?

Fair play to the Reform party forcing the actions of the CPS, or at least, calling for charged to be brought.

Pleased the officers have not been charged.

Now it’s time for a fair trial.
Genuinely intrigued as to how you think a politicised charging process can lead to a fair trial.

Is there any actual evidence that the CPS weren't plodding along with stuff anyway? Any real evidence that the CPS have only done this because of Reform?

How did Reform UK move a CPS investigation along? Help me out here.

eh ?

If anything the delay has been caused by the action of Reform MPs. If you attempt to politicise a decision of the CPS they are going take much longer to ensure all the boxes are ticked.

How anyone falls for this opportunism from Reform is beyond me, but that's populism for you.

You may be right….

Or maybe the CPS was dragging its heals with this one… then after 4 months of no sign of action and Reform starting to threaten a private prosecution, the CPS buck their ideas up and get working.

6 months to bring charges seems to be a long time when in comparison, the unsavoury persons involved with the demonstrations a few months back (also an event which was politicised) were rounded up, charger and sentenced quite rapidly.

Truth is, we won’t ever know why it’s taken so long to bring charges.
If Reform wants to claim this as a victory for them then let them as no body else appeared to be pushing for action. Thats what politicians do.. take credit and deflect blame.

What is clear is that charges should be given and a fair trail takes place.

Musk may not be a 'genius' technologist, he has arguably been a 'genius' hypeman and capital raiser for his businesses. Twitter aside, they're all going great guns (AFAIK).
He is a fan of direct democracy. This will be the system used in his Martian City (or Muskian City once he has changed the name of the planet to ‘the planet Musk’).

In essence, the politicians will be ditched and the civil service will make policy decisions based on real time voting, probably on twitter. This means, when he tweets something like ‘US lawmakers will be getting a 200% pay increase, yes or no’ voters can take part in a quick twitter poll to decide policy.

Of course, if you own twitter and the planet Musk, it will put you at somewhat of an advantage in his brave new world.
