They seem pretty confident tickets sold on 3rd party platforms will be cancelled. If this happens Ticketmaster will then resell even more standard price tickets as platinum so will be pretty keen on the idea.

Fans will be fleeced either way.
I'm now hearing that fans suspected of passing on Oasis tickets will be asked to collect them at the venue - a leaf out of PB's book!

I suggested that this is the last thing Wembley Stadium needs.

And it was put to me that the buyers aren't expected to turn up, as the scalpers are usually overseas and/or have made-up names.

Lots of space in the venues for the rest of us, I guess!

Hmmm!

"As for the well reported complaints many buyers had over the operation of Ticketmaster’s dynamic ticketing: it needs to be made clear that Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used.

"While prior meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band’s management resulted in a positive ticket sale strategy, which would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing to help keep general ticket prices down as well as reduce touting, the execution of the plan failed to meet expectations.

"All parties involved did their utmost to deliver the best possible fan experience, but due to the unprecedented demand this became impossible to achieve."

So I guess with the Gallagher’ now fully aware of the promoters practice, they will now stop the dynamic pricing strategy for further dates, right?

Surely they hold the cards ..

This rort has been rumbling for a long time. I struggle to believe that Liam and Noel were not aware of the controversies and dodgy practices of ticketmaster.

Ironically they may be instrumental in getting some changes in place in the future. But to suggest they have done all they could to give the punter the nest experience and that they didn't know about the problems doesn't really wash with me.

Liam tweeted a few of years ago about expensive tickets for High Flying Birds.

There seems to be a lot of talk about Paul Heaton capping tickets at £35 for his area tour. I assume this is also through ticketmaster?

So it can be done?

I assume they mean that by fleecing 10% of fans for £350 they can keep 90% of tickets at a, ahem, reasonable £150.

Hmmmmm!
When you put it like that, it does sound like bullshit, doesn't it? :lolol:

I can imagine them both seeing a headline figure, leaving the details to their lawyers, and signing some bit of paper shoved in front of them without giving the ticket sale much thought. Whether that really shows them in any better light is another matter.

It doesn't scream 'champions of the working classes' does it? 😂

Hey, if that's what we're were all really after, this thread would be about Paul Heaton's tour wouldn't it? :lolol:

If nothing else, I don't think I've ever heard Noel "I'm the richest person I know" claim to be a champion of the working class.

I'm more concerned that they've said these additional dates will only be available to people unsuccessful in the original sale, which I'd argue should include me but presumably won't.

Baffled as to how that’s going to work. How can someone prove they queued online but didn’t get through? 🤷‍♂️

Maybe it's firstly for those who didn't get the pre-sale code. I've had this before where I didn't get the pre-sale code in the first round of tickets, but subsequently was succesfull when further dates were added or tickets released.
