For those who enjoy, or are in awe, of this sort of thing:

I love it, one of the best performances last year, she's amazing! The other Barkley documentary about Gary Robbins "Where dreams go to die" is another one to watch. Think I've seen it 4-5 times. Respect to those athletes! This year no one finished, I think just ten got to loop two out of five.

Yesterday's 10K was great, and came with the added bonus of us bumping into JPvH and Dunky [separately] after the event.
Not literally, I hope - the last thing we need is an accidental injury being inflicted on the rarest of people - a fit Brighton defender.

I can confirm that we did not inflict any injuries on either of them.

The Barkley Marathons: The Race That Eats Its Young

Made in 2014 but a great watch.
My old coach had a go at it, only managed one loop and he's got an ultra CV as long as pretty much anyone out there.

Wow, there's a lot of strange procedures just to get into the race and one loop is more than most people can dream of. He should be proud of it! Gary 'Laz' Cantrell is quite a character, one of a kind, he loves to see them suffer and push the boundaries of what is possible!

It didn’t ask about having previously run a marathon or predicted finishing time.

I’m sure it has done this when I have entered in the past.

Got a PB of 3:14 in London Marathon this year, a year after my PW of 3:40 in the Southampton Marathon. It was tough and felt there were quite a few bottlenecks along the course compared to when I last ran in 2014.

Good luck to everyone who ran or has entered the ballot for next year. Surely one of the greatest sporting events in the world.

Some time in those conditions. Huge congratulations to you. There were definitely some pinch points throughout and the field never really thinned. Loved the first half marathon and into Canary Wharf and would love to take it on in 10 degrees heat
