I'm from the old fashioned school, that if a woman wants to slap a bloke to protect her family she can, but if a bloke slaps a woman he's a coward and needs a proper shoeing or some time inside

Unless you are happy with sexual inequality, once a woman joins the melee with full on physical aggression it is perfectly legitimate that she gets it back. They actually do have women in combat roles in the forces if you care to drag yourself into the 21st century.

I think there is a slight difference between forces combat situations and civil situations? I fail to see any justification for a bloke punching a woman who pushed him away?
