When I first heard about this I thought it was a good idea, but only if it attracted more tourists, however now I am not so sure. I don't care what someones' race, religion or sexuality are, it is of no relevence to me, if I like them then I am happy for them to be my friend, if not then I steer clear. Surely if someone is famous and lived in the city then they are deserving of a blue plaque, why on earth make something of the fact that they also happened to be gay and make it a pink one.

A real sign of PC madness.

So blue signifies heterosexual? :nono: Surely the people should be recognised for their work, not their sexuality. If we are expected to accept homosexuality as normal, then why should a pink plaque be used. Surely that signifies its abnormality.

spot on. why do we want to identify this division? pathetic.

f*** sake, what an utter load of old BOLLOCKS this idea is. By all means have plaques commemorating people who have made a contribution and/or achieved something worthwhile. But WHY does it have to be directly linked to whether they like panning for brown nuggets or not ?

Brighton & Hove Pink Plaque no. 112.
"This was the home of Tarquin Bothersome-Prodder (1898-1967). Between 1930 and 1949 he scaled Mount Everest, rescued a trapped giraffe from a well, discovered a cure for scurvey, and invented Blu-tack. Tarquin dressed as a woman on Fridays, and was known to like taking it up the pooper."

Whats the POINT ?

Wrong! They are abnormal. If nature intended same-sex sex, we would reproduce that way. :censored:

You say that, but we all know you dream of being taken roughly up the back passage by a sailor

What a load of rubbish!! Why should they be any different to the rest of us? A complete waste of money, why can’t the councils actually do what they have been elected for and serve the community, instead of doing things for personal gain.
