I know we have a few big clubs that are despised by the rest of the country, but Man Utd et al have got nothing on Real Madrid, or their pretentious side kicks, Barcelona.

LL refs are worse and they are best paid in top 5 leagues (and probably whole Europe). This was just reported by Marca two days ago.

You get the referees you deserve. Treat them like shit, abuse them, undermine them and you can't be surprised that fewer and fewer people are prepared to do it and the standard drops.

Until clubs stop their players from trying to con the ref they have no right to complain about referee performances.

Complaining about refs poor performances while encouraging your players to make their job as hard as possible takes the piss.

Lived in Madrid for a while. Came to really hate that club with a passion that has faded over the years simply because they aren't relevant to my life anymore. This was a little reminder of that.

How did Real get their own referee? Brighton needs to get one of those.

Many top clubs are trying to Dodge(r) their ****ish behaviour and the other side of the Atlantic in their all-American sport of hate the Yankees has never effected baseball. It's the holy of holies of sport. Jackie Robinson, where one day each season every player wears his number.
