I think they're mad/wrong.

I think they're mad/wrong.

I am (kind of) one of these people. I want us to qualify for selfish reasons- it was absolutely amazing last time. But I think it might be better for us next season if we had one more season without it to blood this squad properly, and maybe do something really special.

I'm probably wrong though, and fortunately it isn't my decision.

our injuries show we cannot cope with the volume of football in the present season. We'd be buggered with extra games in Europe!
So…we never want to play in Europe?

I’d love us to be in the conference league, we’d have a good chance of going deep in it, Europe competition is attractive to help build the squad, earns the club ££ so makes us more competitive. Not sure what the downside is. Also means we’d have to win 3 or more games in next few weeks. Which would also be nice.

I'd love for us to be playing in Europe, but I don't want us to trounced, whopped, flogged or 7-0'd again...given our recent performances, that is what I think would happen.

Don't understand this mentality at all.

The idea that we won't have squad depth to cope is bollocks.
The club are much better prepared for the extra demands of a European season than we were in 23/24.
If we have to sell some stars, then we get to retain more of our talent (Enciso/Buonanotte/Adingra) and reinvest in the squad as we always have done.
