Don’t know why you’re all complaining. I’ve heard the next step could be a screening in a village hall near Bexhill on a Tuesday morning next October (2026 that is).

Someone should make a documentary about the club history, it would be epic ..
Someone should make a documentary about making and releasing a documentary about the club's history.

It would be long.

This documentary has become a complete farce. I no longer give a shit about seeing.

20 years in the making.
21 years before you can watch.

It’s oh so typically Brighton mind, I’ll give ‘em that. More chance of seeing Jimmy Saville on a TOTP repeat than you are of seeing this broadcast. It’s become like a conspiracy theory with a tiny handful of fans saying they’ve seen it but increasingly the majority have good cause to doubt it was ever produced - does Percy Tau do the narration?!

I'm in the process of persuading a YouTuber to do exactly that. He won't make any money from it, in the same way he hasn't made any money from his F1 docs as they're all copyright claimed instantly. He didn't do the F1 docs to make money he's just passionate about F1, he's as passionate about the club but is worried that if he does a doc about the club he'll loose subs as it's a motorsport channel. He's good at the docs though, one of them has 3.4m views in a year.
I think if he does do it it would depend how kind PBOBE was feeling as to whether it could stay on YouTube or not.
He's not a pro & it takes him countless of hours of research, script writing, editing, narrating & then the anxiety of waiting to see if it's going to be taken down & his hard work is for nothing. It's a small channel with 33k subs & he doesn't want to loose any by going off track to the club.
I've seen Stand or Fall and it was really good, but if it's not going to be available to anyone who couldn't go to the screenings, what was the point especially as we waited so long just to get to that.

WOW, that's a real compliment to the Matt Lorenzo and his team getting picked up by Netflix. Maximum and global exposure for the club.
Looks like their model has changed. I helped work on a small indie documentary on retro games which ended up on Netflix. I think a complete view was worth 1p or something derisory. ChatGPT tells me they don't use this model any more so I don't know but they do have a lot of obscure stuff - I don't think he will be getting a king's ransom.

'later this year' is reassuringly vague.

Lets not go batshit crazy here.

"While an exact release date has not been officially announced, sources suggest that Stand or Fall: The Remarkable Rise of Brighton & Hove Albion will be available on Netflix later this year."
