Do I need to buy a 5 year licence thing as well, or can I just swap season ticket from North to 1901, plus the upgrade cost.
Via the club yes, you’ll need to buy a membership (5 year of lifetime) then buy the actual ticket…for 5 years.

If it’s a private sale it’s whatever you agree to….all the private sales I have known (a handful) have simply been the transfer of membership and ticket and the new owner takes over the monthly payment ie for free.

I’m giving up my (and my son’s) season ticket at the end of this season after 13 years.

He went off to uni a couple of years ago and it’s not the same without him at most games.

Plus i’m buying a new house and that £160 each month is needed elsewhere.

Have very mixed feelings about this as my loyalty points will dwindle to a point where I won’t be able to go to most away games.

But equally this might be a temporary situation if I feel like I’m really missing out.
You do realise that as soon as you give up your season ticket you are behind all season ticket holders in the queue for away games? Not so much a case of your points dwindling as your ability to buy away tickets will fall off a cliff.

Nothing lasts forever and football has had a very good innings but it’s clearly on the wane. Post internet people have so many more interests and so many things to spend their time and money on. Couple that with how sterile and boring the PL is plus VAR and it’s not hard to predict an increasing downturn.
Kids hero’s these days are YouTube influcencers.

Correct. Average attendance at PL games this season is likely to be the highest it’s ever been in the top division at around 40,500. PL grounds are generally at 98% full to capacity.

Finally, greater than the Bundesliga’s (38,600).

After huge stadium expansions, the latest at Anfield and this season no Luton/Burnley.

Indeed, but if Hamburg and Koln are promoted next season then the German league will be top again

Villa, Manure, Leeds and Newcastle have major stadium plans, with Everton upping theirs by 12k from this August. Unfortunately the new Selhurst stand moves ever further into the distance.
