Wanting to rest Robinson and Seales for Somerset?
A solid points haul first game back in Div 1, being played on a road. There'd be all sorts of gnashing of teeth if we'd got out cheaply trying to set something upAs someone who has no interest in 20/20 and likes 4/5 day games I dont think games like this offer anything to the many against. Surely some effort could be made to set a target which may be difficult but not like now impossible.
I hope this is not a sign of things to come in D1 where sides not in contention will be happy to pick up draw points to stay up.
I've watched that delivery a few times. Lost a lot of head hair with the scratching.Worcs scraped an amazing draw against Somerset - that looked curtains for them. And that was despite D'Oliveira being given out to the worst LBW decision we'll see this season. The umpire must have fancied an early getaway

It can’t in any normal world. Regardless of the numerous vagaries of the lbw law, the ball has to be hitting the stumps……..this was missing by MILES.How can that possibly be given ?
Genuine question as I’m not 100% clear on lbw
I've been freeze framing it, it's a risky move to make, but I can't see how that could be given. Even when you're looking for it, it looks like it's fifth stump at best. How can that possibly be given ?

Because the umpire was Mr S Attwell, I thinkHow can that possibly be given ?

I wonder that you may not be old enough to remember some of the Indian umpires in the early 80sThe more I see that D'Oliveira decision, the more perplexed I get. I don't think it's just the worst LBW I've seen this year, I think it's the worst LBW decision I've ever seen - it's even worse than Jayasuriya's dismissal of Graham Thorpe, that's how bad it is.
