Unless things have changed, any revenue from the bag drop goes into the Albion Foundation (formerly AITC) so the club aren't making money from this.
It was said tongue in cheek. I doubt it generates enough to register on the books!

for me, the advantages of riding are a massive time saving and you're in control . . . .which if you have to go through the whole queue locker scenario renders it pointless . . .you may as well get the train!

Whilst free motorcycle parking is excellent, £7.50 or £8 to store a helmet is very expensive (although perhaps not in comparison to the price of the rancid burgers). As others have suggested, if you fave a full face helmet, use a long chain lock and lock the helmet to your bike. I also use a waterproof helmet bag.

Oxford do a combined lock and lid bag for about £25.

I've got a couple of Oxford helmet bags for Xmas a couple of years ago when they started charging a fiver, I use an open faced helmet so wanted a waterproof bag to protect it . Before that they went in the stewards box by the entrance which was never any hassle, max 3-4 helmets in the NS stewards box.

I know its months later but yes "aversion"
On the bike tonight, so let hope it all works ok

I hate the train queue - both at the Amex and then at BTN

If it's not a full face helmet you could always hide it by wearing a large beanie over it! And when you get to your seat just take it off and pop it under.
If you are over 40 you will definitely get away with it. The stewards will think it's just another old bloke trying to look trendy.

I will be able to ride a motorbike to the Amex soon.

Where do you go to? Is it just the main car park entrance?
You ride into the main entrance with the P&R buses. Take the first right and look for the stewards who will direct you to the left (lower) level or the right (they fill up the lower level first). Once you are around the corner (left or right) you can mount the pavement and park up (usually in two lines with a gap down the middle).
Depending where you sit in the stadium you then have the choice of walking down the road beside Bennet's Field or exiting back onto Village Way and walking along to the Coach Park and down the stairs there.
I'm in West Upper (south end) so after the match it's quicker for me to go up the ramp next to the Away Team Coach and walk right around Village Way and back into the main entrance. This avoids all the away fans and queues for the stairs/P&R.
It really is the best way to travel (sober). Enjoy!
