Musk is a tragic figure. The bloke is clearly a genius but he's f&&king it all up, and for what?

Take Starlink, its a truly brilliant system. But for governments to trust using it you need strong corporate governance, imagine handing over secure communications to Musk now.

Should have done a Microsoft and played a straight bat and largely stayed out of politics

What have WE done? Like a number of Tesla owners, we bought well before it was clear that Musk was such an arse, and hope people can realise that normal owners of them don't agree at all with the behaviour and politics of the bloke who bought his way into ownership of the make.
;) It's too late for all that contrition now. ;)
We've had paediatricians attacked, mistaken for paedophiles, Sikhs attacked because they were mistaken for Muslims, age old statues toppled into rivers amongst plenty of other violent mob driven shenanigans.
Never underestimate British collective intelligence.

I genuinely feel for Tesla owners.......slightly.

Absolutely. Anyone giving existing Tesla drivers a hard time - or worse still vandalising their cars, are absolute pricks. The drivers have done nothing wrong and should not be made to feel as though they have.

Targeting the show-rooms, and thus Musk's future sales and company value, is a very different thing altogether, and a whole lot easier to rationalise.

The Musk paradox - his genius lies in persuading people that he is a genius

I think the only solution is for Tesla owners to display their V5 in the window so we can all see when they purchased their Tesla.

Part of me, the Schadenfreude bit, is enjoying Tesla's discomfort but I'm also aware that Tesla dealerships are (I'm presuming anyway) privately owned, even family-owned franchise businesses just like any other car dealership. So any attacks are likely to take down a bunch of innocent livelihoods along with giving Musk's sales and production figures a bit of a bruising. I'm conflicted.

Indeed. I'm not sure whether protests against Tesla are going to affect Musk in any way. It will ruin plenty of normal people's lives though.

Musk wont give a shit, he really won't.

Would i buy a tesla...NO but not because of anything to do with him.

He is a genius i have no doubt about it.

Do i think he should stick to rockets and cars, probably.
