Possible snow here 10 feb with an easterly setting in. One to watch and the last chance saloon for this season

There is then a chance of another, colder injection of air from the east around Valentine's Day, which could produce snow showers, but that's ages away.
So there’s a chance of a cold wind blowing through the Amex at the Chelsea game? Prophetic.

Appreciate that……..unfortunately I have a phobia re flying 😥
Have you always had it? I used to like flying before say 30 now I don’t like it at all. I’m sitting there on the tarmac looking at the patched up wings and thinking Christ this looks like a flimsy bit of kit.
It’s not a pleasant experience for me anymore.

For a long time ….when at school i remember doing a trip to Holland….loved it….then early twenties went on holiday by myself to Portugal and was scared stiff…..ten years after that I had to do a business trip to Belfast …I only bought a one way ticket (Dan Dare) thought I would spend the whole weekend getting back by Ferry from Southern Ireland ….but plucked up the courage to fly back with BA …always remember the pilot saying we are currently at 30k feet and if you look out the window you will see Liverpool 👀….promised myself I wouldn’t do it again…..we me it’s being closed in…I might cope if I could pilot the plane…not sure the passengers would though

With me it's being closed in and no way out. I'm not keen on using the underground either, but fine with the Channel Tunnel.

Sorry, my fault. I'm flying to the UK on Friday and bringing the Canadian weather with me.

A perfect scenario of easterly winds from the weekend but there is no cold weather in eastern europe at the moment so temps of around 5C which is no good

As usual the models have wobbled and then begun a backtrack from any deep or extended cold period. It's still possible, but unlikely now.

It will still get colder towards and during the weekend, but nothing significant.

Late Friday into Saturday looks the coldest period - daytime max temps 4-6C across Sussex, with sleet / rain showers possible with some snow inland on hills.

After that there is a massive spread in the data, so not worth speculating. The potential 'reload' around Valentine's Day has all but disappeared from the output.

Our particular temperatures and snow record are always far closer to this than for Brighton or Hove. 100m up, away from the sea and urban heat island effect.

A chance of sleet or snow on Friday night.
yep. Friday evening through to midday Saturday has both lowish upper air (7-c to -8C) over us and some precipitation. Not ideal, but close as we're likely to get for snow. Top of The Downs would likely see snow.
