Jan 76, when at primary school. I’m pretty much unique on NSC for a male with @Harry Wilson's tackle that somehow I never got involved in any shape or form with football aggro. I did see many times huge Albion hordes chasing and attacking away supporters around Hove Station/Conway Street.
Forgetting all the fisticuffs
We played them often enough and the ensuing pantomimes
that tend to occur during frequent battles between teams of a similar level I find it hard to believe they didn’t stir any dislike?
Growing up in the 80s those #twats were on a par with the stripey Nigel’s for me
Mickey Quinn giving the V s after scoring a pen a prime example to fuel the dislike
But football is a personal thing/ opinions so fair enough

I came from east of Brighton. I sometimes wondered if Albion supporters from west of the then town who used coastal trains for derbies against Pompey have more of a distaste for them?

I was from the mid Sussex area at that time So can't really speak for the western fraternity 😉

I am really not impressed with the standard of football from either team , can’t believe Coventry have been on such a winning streak , the Championship must be pretty poor this season , either team don’t look anywhere near the standard required in the premier league

I thought the same when ITV aired Pompey v Leeds, several levels down on what we’re now spoiled by.

That game consisted of frenetic closing down, percentage balls hoofed down the channels, 20 players condensed in the middle, winning a throw in at 0-0 was celebrated like a goal.

Leeds stumbling again - drew 2-2 with Swansea leaving Sheffield Utd clear at the top

A real possibility that 96 points is not enough to secure automatic promotion from the Championship- and still possible that 100 could not be enough.

Leeds are wobbling now, hilarious if they end up third and then mess up their playoff.

As long as Sheffied United get promoted, I'm happy - as it'll mean that either Leeds or Burnley have missed out by a gnat's chuff. Both would be tremendous - Burnley after what they did to us the season before we went up, and Leeds because, well... it's Leeds.

Starting to smell like the season where we missed out to Boro and Burnley. Those teams at the top are racking up some HUGE points totals.
Albion got 89 that year. Could be a good few more for third this time.
