So a huge final day next week in the NLS. Going into it, I'm sure Truro will feel the most confident but they'll be up against a St. Albans team fighting for their lives. Goes for Worthing too against Enfield. Both Eastbourne and Torquay have difficult games against WSM and Hemel Hempstead respectively. Of course, Boreham Wood and Dorking are still in with better goal differences than the other top 4 teams.

Absolute madness. Has there ever been a league where 6 teams can win it on the final day?

Horsham need to score more goals than Billericay to go up from the Ryman too.

Went to two games today, Hassocks v Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill v Three Bridges.

Hassocks look a very, very good side and blew HH away. Could have been a lot more if it wasn’t for the keeper. Burgess Hill won easily as well but that game had a bit of a dead rubber feel to it.

Interested to see whether Hassocks get promoted or not- not sure what they would need to do to their ground to be able to go up, if they want to. Does anybody know?

It was in one of the interviews with (Super) Pat Harding recently, they've already sorted the parking around the back, now just need to upgrade the floodlights i believe.

Ah right so they are definitely going up?

Nervy Horsham performance. Bognor were well up for it and for periods of the game it was hard to tell who were the promotion chasing team. Horsham will be glad to get back on a 3G pitch next week. Dartford slipping up has set it up brilliantly.

Lingfield 0-2 Crowborough

Pretty straightforward victory for the Crows. Started very quickly and could and probably should have been 3 up within the first 10 minutes. Combination of Lingfield keeper making a couple of good saves and Crowborough being wasteful in front of goal kept it to 0-0. 15 minutes or so into the game Crowborough got the first and you thought it might be the first of many. As it turned out it woke Lingfield up a bit and it was a pretty even. Lingfield hit the post with a header from a free kick.

Shortly after that Lingfield could have gone down to 10 when their player grabbed the Crowborough skipper by the head and threw him to the ground. Ref only saw it as a booking. That soon became two bookings about a minute later when the full back chopped down the Crowborough winger when he skinned him. This prompted the gobshite manager of Lingfield to keep repeating the same sentence "Every foul is a booking now then ref". The ref was only a young lad and one of his assistants was even younger. Lingfield clearly had a plan to get into the ear of them.

Crowborough got the second bang on half time. Low and hard cross from the right volleyed in from about six yards. 2 nil half time was probably deserved after the start Crowborough made.

Second half was almost a carbon copy of the first but without the goals. Crowborough started lightening quick but Lingfield came back into the game as the half went on. Crows did have a goal disallowed for off side but not a lot else to report.

Guaranteed second place which means a home game in the play off semi and final should we make it that far. Slightly concerning that the goals that were free flowing for a while appear to have dried up and Eastbourne are in great form. Lots of twists and turns still to come I expect.

Think their ground is fine, however there is a rumour that 8 clubs are getting relegated from SCFL Premier for ground grading issues. Anyone know anything about it? The only one I've heard for definite is a problem is the distance between the changing rooms and pitch at Midhurst and Easebourne.

Can't see that happening If 8 clubs were relegated from SCFL premier then the league would be unsustainable .
BTW good to see Seaford FC promoted as champions after missing out to Wick in the play off final last year on penalties (y)

There is some info on this thread regarding possible grading issues.

Tbf the players are required to basically walk a half marathon before the game at Midhurst

From what I have heard, the new ground grading rules which the FA are seemingly going to apply strictly are to do with turnstiles of all things at SCFL Premier level at least . How many there, how wide they are, etc

That could be why Midhurst are in trouble. But then so would YMCA, Roffey, Loxwood, and Saltdean off the top of my head. And I am not sure why Pagham are on the list on NonLeagueMatters.

The FA are absolutely obsessed with turnstiles at lower non league level. I went to Midhurst vs Hassocks about a month ago and it was one of the friendliest grounds I’ve been to this season, the walk to the pitch, whilst a bit odd, isn’t really that far. What are Midhurst meant to do exactly? Build all over the green field?
