I don’t understand this comment. As you’re applying the same rules to all the teams why should the relegation tracker be more pessimistic about us relative to the other teams round about us in the league?
Can new UK punters bet on such an index eg to in effect lay bet that Albion don’t make 8th or higher?
Bit lost with all the permutations now - but if Palace win the FA Cup (which I wouldn't put it past them doing), do we need to be 7th?

Yes. The now quite possible scenario that Palace win the FA Cup and we suffer the double blow of them keeping us out of Europe whilst they waltz into the Europa League.
along with their first major trophy. its giving me nightmares already.
