Can't think of a third one. It used to be the Preston Park Tavern but that's been all poncified and the lads have gone. Basically I suppose my 'favorite' pub (echoing Tedebear's 'what makes a pub?' thread) is wherever my friends/family are.

The Cleveland ??? More of a front room than a pub, some very weird looking people as clientell too.

The Greys
The Constant Service
Sir Charles Napier

Don't see much point in going outside Hanover to drink, really.

Several more pushing for places in the top 3. The Dover Castle can count itself very unlucky not to have made it, for instance.

The Greys and the Charles Napier are both top pubs.

Haven't been to the Constant Service for years.

Used to spend a lot of time in Hanover. The constant service holds many happy memories and a great landlord.

All good pubs those.

Haven't lived properly in Brighton for quite a long time now. Used to like the Prestonville, but don't think they do Harveys any more? Where can you get a decent pint of Harveys now?

Quite. Me kids were down the other night. Usually phone up the Crown & Anchor and ask if they're doing food. Just get a yes or no and the food is great. Phoned up the Preston Park Tavern this time cos I'd seen a write-up in the Argus and thought it might make a change, asked the same question and got the full 'do you have a reservation? How many's it for? We won't have anything for at least forty five minutes'. OK, cool, stick your food up your arse then :salute:
