You don't get it. If VIlla win the champions league and spurs or Utd win the europa Cup we could have 7 teams in the champions league.decent evening with Italy only winning 1/3 and England winning 3/3
Champions League: 1-5
Europa League: 6, FA Cup winners
Conference League: Carabao Cup winners
In all cases if a team win the domestic cup and finish in a European place in the league, the spots drop down one more place.

Well obviously that is another scenario but being pessimistic it looks almost certain to be top 7 Europe and very likely 8th getting conference leagueYou don't get it. If VIlla win the champions league and spurs or Utd win the europa Cup we could have 7 teams in the champions league.
It's just so unfathomable. There is an extreme example in which the team who finish 6th fail to make Europe at allWell obviously that is another scenario but being pessimistic it looks almost certain to be top 7 Europe and very likely 8th getting conference league
FC Köbenhavn fans singing "Is this a library?" and "You're shit and you know you are" at the Bridge tonight is possibly the only time in the last five years I've found either of those songs amusing.
Obviously the Boehly All Stars are still winning, as they very well should with their £1.6 billion squad, but we may at least enjoy somebody taking the piss out of them in the meantime.
I'm not sure it has been mentioned (I've missed it if so) but I just read on the Man City forum that after last night's results, 5th place is now confirmed as a Champions League spot.
Dare to dream...
Does that mean we can stop wanting Chelsea and Manchester United to do well, whilst having a chuckle at Tottenham ?If confirmed, it would surely be mentioned elsewhere. It seems highly unlikely now that England would finish third tbh, so probably all but confirmed anyway.
I did a rough calculation and I think we need 3 more wins between the 5 remaining English teams. Or two wins and team progressing to the semis
Simple5 UCL places are now guaranteed.
So here's the latest 'can we do it' stats.
Positions 1 to 5 are guaranteed UCL spots, regardless of who wins it etc. So should Arsenal win the UCL it is still only top 5. The winners of the UEL also get to enter the UCL but again, this would not effect the 5 spots, it could mean 6 spots.
Position 6 is UEL. This spot is guaranteed regardless of who wins any domestic or European trophies.
Second UEL spot is for the FA Cup winners. Obviously here we want a top 5 club to win this esteemed trophy so they give up this spot meaning-
Position 7 gets a UEL spot.
Conference League spot is given to the EFL Cup winners (Newcastle). But should they finish in a higher position and enter a better cup then-
Position 8 enters the qualifying stage of the Conference, a two game knockout to enter the league stage.
Last season 61 points would have been 7th. I believe 62 pts is a target this year for UEL spot.
Only if Palace don't win the FA Cupits pretty likely 8th will get you in europe
