Long distance (my parents lived abroad) Spurs fan from 8 to 23. It changed when I came to live in Brighton without even knowing they had a league football team and was talked into going to an Albion game vs Palace. It was the first live game I went to. I blame Peter Ward for me turning.

Brighton since my first match in 1974. A 2-0 home defeat to Tranmere.

I watched my first Albion game in 1964, but prior to that I followed Arsenal, and for years, they remained my old Ist Division side of choice. That came to an abrupt end well before we played our first game in the top tier in 1979 and got thumped by them, 4-0!

I supported arsenal at the age of 7 because I wanted to join in with premier league football stickers but didn't want to support man Utd like everyone else. Never imagined Brighton could play Arsenal. Didn't seem possible.

Excellent recall, he is Palace through and through but I believe a decent poster back in the day when we were two divisions apart?
