To be fair though, they arent the only team that dive, and I would argue the Argies and possibly even Spain are worse.

How do the fans seem arrogant about it all?

just some we met in the pub last night seemed to LOVE it, and while we all know that englands players tend to dive, the italians are jjust completely oblivious to it

one clear example was when there player was through one-and-one and the ghana defender just hacked him down. italian mans face looked like he had been shot, then 3 minutes later he is up and running back on

well they scored their first ever WC goals and win, I'd be pretty f***ing pleased with myself if I was them . . .they played better than England did on Saturday

there are diving players all over, its more the style in which the latino Oscar nominees do it, you can see tham looking at the ref as they contemplate the 3rd acrobatic whincing roll whilst clutching a limb/throat/face, its deplorable

but equally funny when it gets them no where, they sulk for 30 seconds, then all of a sudden theyre fitter than fit again sprinting after the ball again

In London village.
I'd like to see the USA get stuffed by Iran and then any team with a Jewish player in it stuff Iran. Not very logical but somehow deeply satisfying.

its always good to see the yanks beaten, although footnall is probably the last sport I'd choose

what would be really good is to see them loose a basebal match to Iraq or Iran and a grid iron game to North Korea or China :lolol:

then they get a cricket team togther . . .now that would be funny

Australia it has to be. They already think they have won the cup. "Brilliant win" stuff etc. If they get to the quarter finals we will never hear the end of it.

Hardly - isn't it nice to see a team who haven't been there since 1974 win a game?

Hmm maybe. Italians do tolerate it more, but then as I pointed out, Spain and the Argies are just as bad, but dont always seem to get that much bad press, especially in the case of Spain. Maybe its becaue people go to Spain on holiday.

I know what you mean about the Iaquinta incident but it could have been a bad injury, and the Ghana bous came in with some pretty rough tackles over the course of the match.

Not an OZ team. On my trips to Oz I've put up with Aussies telling Pomms we are no good at cricket, athletics , swimming, rugby and we (Aussies) even beat you at soccer. I tell you they lord it over us at every opportunity and last years ashes and the rugby world cup were just blips where all the luck went against them and morally they were the winners.

Lovely country mind you.

Brazil, I just don't like them & I don't like people who have never seen a Brazilian( of any variety) who wear their shirt it's like being a plastic Manu ,Chelsea or liverpool fan. No offence meant to genuine fans of these clubs , its just glory boy syndrome.

Portugal for the simple reason that I live right bang right in the middle of the biggest Portuguese population in London.

There is even an area up the road known as "Little Portugal".

Now I love it round here, love them and love their shops and restuarants, but bugger me when they win a game they get pissed, blow their horns all night and will inevitably start riding a small but fully powered childs motorbike round the streets all night (like last time)

Personally, I'd like to see a few more African teams in it if they play like Ivory Coast did the other night. Angola didn't give a bad account of themselves either.

Id have been happy to swap Senegal or Nigeria for Poland or Serbia in this WC.

As it is the World Cup, the major tournament in football I would like to see the best 24 or whatever number national teams in the World competing irrespective of whether they come from Africa Asia or Europe so long as they are the best there is.

I want all the small teams to see the 'big boys' and try to emulate them to take part not be given entry because they are an up and coming 3rd world country.
