What's I'd like is all the bank holidays moved to Fridays. Monday is a crap day to have off - it just launches you straight into Tuesday morning. Much better to start the weekend on Thursday evening.
But then we would be miserable on the Sunday thinking about going back to work on what used to be a lovely bank holiday Monday.

What about having it on a Wednesday? Everyone knows nobody does any work the day before or after a holiday, or on a Monday or Friday, so effectively this would give us a whole week off!

In honour of the OP we could call the holiday "England victory and Freedom for Gaza NOW" day.

Starmer OUT!

I'd be ok with a bank holiday for everyone except banks.

On that day, they'd be forced to reopen high street branches that they'd previously closed down for 'cost saving' reasons.

I don’t know about you, but after the past few days I feel I actually need a day hard at work and not more time off.

I've told the staff at the place I run in Cambridge that nearly all of them can have the Monday after off if England win the Euros. I excluded the two Scots. This policy has gone down extremely well with nearly all the staff, even the three Welsh.

Starmer can f*** off
This is another politically motivated thread to ignore, absolutely nothing to do with football really, is it?
