I was Q251 on my phone on the club app. Got in within a minute, selected a block and luckily the seat map showed up this time. Got 2 tickets, not together but not far apart either. Well chuffed, as is my son, whose birthday is on the 18th.
Strange! I was 170 and there were >80 available in just the block I chose.
Was able to pick the specific seat I wanted too. I wonder if your browser just took a while to refresh and get you in.
I looked 60 secs later and there was only a couple left
The chances are exactly the same as any other two positions.I think there is something not right about this system, just been given position 1058 which is exactly the same position I got for Palace in T2 last week. The chances of that happening both times are obviously thousands to 1.
Did you get a Brentford ticket though? An amusing one from when I worked in the betting shops was the threat of someone asking to borrow our Vacuum Cleaner.
They would always be polite claiming to be from and naming the local charity shop just up the road, explaining theirs was broken.
Needless to say you’d never see them or said Henry ever again!
Across London over the years William Hill literally lost hundreds of them![]()

That seems a bit daft. The queue position is random not first come, first served.
depends how you measure commitment clearly club do in monetary termsToo bad. The current system rewards those that do spend a lot of money travelling, they do spend a lot of time travelling to the arse end of the country so why should someone in that group miss out on a trip to Brentford because others don't give that commitment or just fancy an easy trip up to London? And as others have said, there are plenty of games in London that go down to the lower tiers.
Are there really 'plenty of London games that go down to the lower tiers'? I did finally get a ticket for the Emirates this season but was lucky. I usually struggle to get anything in London. Though I think West Ham was a possible when it was an evening game. I do go to plenty of away games further north but as long as the regulars go too, their points totals just go up with mine!Too bad. Yes, think that’s what a lot of people doCan you just try different devices and then just go with the one with the best queue position?
Sorry, but that is absolute horseshit.depends how you measure commitment clearly club do in monetary terms
I think you just have to be consistent with the long distance games and eventually you will get through, most of my mates worked their way up, and now are pretty solidly in the top tier. There is probably only about 100 or so who will see at every game without any fail whatsoever. Are there really 'plenty of London games that go down to the lower tiers'? To add to this, plenty of people are clearly moving up into the top tier this season. At the start of the season my dad and I were comfortably in tier 1 regardless of allocation (comfortably for Bournemouth for example). Have only done 6/15 aways this season (for multiple reasons - we normally get to over 50% of aways and would have this season if not for Brentford) and have found ourselves just short of tier 1 (5 points) and missed out on tickets for this - a first that this has happened in the AMEX era.I think you just have to be consistent with the long distance games and eventually you will get through, most of my mates worked their way up, and now are pretty solidly in the top tier. With a Henry nicked from William H I hopeYes, thank you, me and the boy were sorted yesterday which freed me up this morning to give the house a good vacuuming![]()
Assume there are 5000 in the queue:The chances are exactly the same as any other two positions.
642 Points if you wondered!Thinking about it logically it does make some sort of sense.
At the top of the points list are people like jackalbion who go to every game but there will not be many like him. The next group down, say about 50 points back will be those who go to a lot of games but by no means all who are probably scattered across the next 80 points or so. Then behind them will be others who go to some away and all the home cup games who will be i would think a much larger number but spread over fewer points. Then the vast majority of season ticket holders who do not do away games as a rule and may only have their season ticket points plus a few home cup games, in essence a very large number spread over a very small points range.
