fine margins, hopefully FH learns from them.

The more the game wore on the more inevitable it was that the classic Portuguese/Spanish style shithousery would win out over a team trying to play football. Not that FH got it quite right, but we were the only team trying to play good football Nand win the game in a classy way.

I thought MInteh was very poor attacking. I wish we had Solly on form.

I hope Pedro has a few good games before the season ends and we get top money back . He's not a team player and looked poor when he came on, selfish when he had the ball. He's good, but an odd one out now I think.

Hope the injury to Webster is a minor, we need him given his current form.

I didn't enjoy that TBH. Frustrating.

Ref was substandard, but thats a given these days.
I’m sorry but that about Pedro and getting money back is complete and utter bollocks

It's annoying as the competition is wide open this year. Having said that, there was clearly plenty of jetlag about. It's going to be a tough ask for the team to get back up for Wednesday. Especially seeing as Villa can probs rest they key players tomorrow. Just got to try and not let this disappointment knock us off completely. We are still well within a shout of Europe.

A frustrating evening, with some near misses. I liked going upstairs at The Terrace and really thought we'd won it near the end of extra time. Surprised to see the match reports say Forest were better - they didn't seem to do much at all for the last 45 minutes and were only playing for penalties.

And we all knew which way penalties would go.

I don’t see the doom n gloom about our performance. They’ve spent on experience, it showed for 30 minutes in the middle of the first 45 and a lack of injuries this season meant their player groupings of 2 or 3 knew each other inside out in attack. But we were creative as the game went on, as Nuno and Sels trying to wind down the ET clock.

Pens …. what was your instinct before any were taken? I thought we’d probably lose, due to some young players and Nuno would’ve prepared meticulously for a shootout too. Little surprise that two young players made very savable efforts.

First half they were brilliant and we were shit.

Second half we were better. They tired.

Extra time, we were the team that looked more likely to win (bar one chance for them) but we failed to be clinical.

Fine margins.

At least we don’t have to face getting away from that shit hole in north west London.
Exactly as above, but with the bonus of not giving ‘forever’ bragging rights to the opposite side of the capital.

As others have said, it seemed a strange selection, especially Hinsh. Why not Perv?

Gutted. Out of the cup and feels like a serious Opportunity missed given how this competition had opened up with only a flaky Citeh115 left from the "big six".

We were flying before the wretched International Break. Far from our best tonight. Add to that, more bloody injuries means potentially two fit CB's left.
Yeah, gutted.

I commented on him (long before the 7-0). As good a PL keeper as any other, but rarely spoken about. Levels above Onana and Sanchez, for example.
Yeah big presence.
Probably won it for them.

Verbruggen will get better, but at the moment isn't an intimidating keeper when it comes to penalties.

Was that Mitoma’s twin brother out there tonight, he was miles off it. That’s the most disjointed performance from us in a long while, didn’t win enough personal duals, poor ball retention, only really started to play in the second period of extra time. Disappointing…

I thought Gruda played well.

One of the highlights.
Hes definitely got something, but he's the latest in a long line of our wide players who hold.on.to.the.ball.for.too.long.

Woof! Dudes. Play the pass! Between him, minteh and Adingra, there's a lot of hesitation and running in to cul-de-sacs.
