[Albion] Worst refereeing performance since...?

Surprised so many are defending him, definitely in top 5 poorest at Amex this season. You could say he didn’t make a match turning error well yes but that’s only because VAR exists

Awful performance. Didn’t have anything to do with the result though.

So you're saying he was equally bad against both teams?

No he wasn't. He was extremely one sided and fell for many of their dives, which helped them stop our attacks and keep us under pressure. Had he got the decisions right the game would have been different and we could have scored.

12 behind the ball ... don't see that too often.

Didn't affect the result directly but was deffo more supportive to the team in red.

Sels was the difference 2 pens saved and a worldy from Gomez header made the result.

Sorry for my eyes. I assume you say still and didn’t sarcastically cheer like everyone else seemed to 🤷🏻‍♂️💪
I’m saying that you’ve no idea what everyone else in the stadium was thinking so don’t tell me that 95% agreed with you. In my little bit of the EU, of course plenty of people groaned when a decision went against us, and cheered at those that went our way. Same as always. But I can’t speak for the stadium at large and nor can you.

Is anyone defending him? I’m not. He was annoying. But I simply don’t think he was biased against us as has been suggested. He was over-officious eg position of throw-ins and perceived offences at corners but these irritations were spread evenly across both sides. I sit in EU, closer to the South than North, and there were plenty of exasperated groans coming from the away end.

I thought he was just shit all round to be honest, crap for both sides and wouldn’t let the game flow.

I don’t get it, didn’t think he was that bad?

Just had ourselves to blame tonight, didn’t show up except for 10 minutes in the second half of extra time.
We did, but he seemed to be far more lenient towards Forest than us.
The stats suggest we committed nearly double the amount of fouls to Forest, which reflects what I saw in terms of the referee, but not in terms of the actual game.

Poor performance, but that was in line with the rest of our team.
Crap game, we didn’t do enough.

Don’t blame the ref , we didn’t turn up.
Particularly some of our players
Also Fab didn’t react to the their tactics

The game I saw wasn't even maybe because I was watching on TV. The other lot were better than us by quite a long way except during the second half of extra time.
I disagree that Forest were better than us by a long way. We didn’t turn up in the first half and didn’t play a flowing game until late in the game. I think Forest edged it but in no way were they a lot better.

They were in the match I saw. We were effective for about 10 minutes at the end of extra time.

There was one where we conceded a foul at one end for nothing, then almost immediately, Awoniyi barged into JPVH I think and sent him flying, not going for the ball, and the ref let it go.

Then another where off the ball one of our players was running to press, and a forest player (not the one in possession) stuck out his leg to trip up our guy. Ref gave a foul but not a yellow. So you can trip players off the ball now and it's not a booking? Hmm.

A thread about refs are almost 100% mandatory after a loss and says absolutely nothing about the actual quality of the refereeing performance.

I think you could see he'd irritated both sets of players by the end - he was shocking! I'd suggest Forest got the rub of the green, especially with a number of soft fouls given when we were pressing high up the field.
