Telegraph have an article today on Yanks moving or applying to move to the UK, the numbers are way up. For several reasons including the Fentanyl crisis and gun attacks on schools, but also:

“Buying an escape route

Many American buyers are purchasing in the UK as a way of keeping their options open. “They are effectively putting a flag in the sand here so they have an escape route if things get really weird in the States,” says Roarie Scarisbrick, of the buying agency Property Vision”.

What I wouldn't give to see this. The stupid deranged orange twat being dragged out of the wreckage of his Tesla and hauled off to a lifetime in jail after a 30 minute slow motion car chase towards mar a lago.
It would be oddly fitting for the man who has always been all about television.

Thats an unusal take from the Telegraph - one would expect the anti-immigration lobby to be seething that a bunch of foreigners are coming over here, seeking refuge from persecution and putting pressure on the local property markets. Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean islands are all closer, and they'd be far more likely to return home. Why do they have to come all the way over here?!

Large numbers getting Portuguese residence too. Up massively in the past 12 months. Good quality, low cost healthcare, relative ease of obtaining residency, and personal safety are main factors

There are often DT contradictions, but it has a great deal of factual stuff on business, finance and world trade. The right wing loons are actually in the comments, a large cohort these days forever slagging off Rachel Reeves and deranged in support for Trump. These days online readerships are global, people will also be posting from Russia and redneck US states.

Presumably most of these immigrants are the right colour for the right wing. Perhaps you should start an advertising campaign.

'Come to the UK, your child won't get shot while at school. And if they do get hurt you won't go bankrupt trying to save them'.

Well that needs putting a stop to, last thing we need is Americans buying up holiday homes

I just don’t get this Fentanyl addiction, I mentioned in another thread all it does is knock you out for hours no particular high or euphoric feeling.
I can’t have morphine so I had a fentanyl pump after my operation. Americans are weird.
