I’m going to the Palace and Brentford beam backs, I’m definitely not expecting it to be as good as the games I saw in the hospitality lounges.
Originally for Palace and Brentford 600 tickets were sold but more were released yesterday, I don’t think everyone is going to be sitting comfortably like in the hospitality lounges.
I’m not getting there at 11am just so I can get a seat though.
900 tickets seems quite a lot, I wonder why they increased the initial capacity, I can’t think anyone would think more people would be a good idea. Maybe after a few games to test it out.

Brighton factually.....
Well tbf I'm not going to be happy with the music unless they are playing some unlistenable Post-Punk Nonsense or My Bloody Valentine so I'm a tough crowd.
Suffer with me, I have zero, diddly squat chance of hearing owt I like, even the stuff I do like I consider mainstream like the Smiths or Kunt & THe Gang.

Perhaps they want scenes of sardines crammed together throwing beer in the air when we score....
Either that or
Perhaps they just want money, money, money....

I do not do big squashed crowds like I used, so if it is like that, I will piss off and go home.

Much less crowded last night and good to have a few decent loos without having to go through the gates - went in about an hour and a half before KO but got out of there as soon as they started announcing the sides in a PA voice that was more in keeping with the calling out of Bingo numbers at a Butlins holiday camp.

Music much too loud for my liking - but accept that’s probably an age thing!

The Focus Lounge bar was as full as it always was so there’s presumably not much draw to the Terrace by 1901 members.

Where are the loos?
Couldn't see any signs when I walked through last night.

Positives from last night's 3-0 loss.

At least I didn't have to listen to Freed From Desire.

Why are our marketing team so formulaic and predictable? What happened to originality? Everything is designed with the supposed family customer in mind, and it is shit.

I have no idea what it means to be a Brighton and Hove Albion fan now. I used to. I used to know that it meant that we stood for something and that we wouldn't be druv! That we'd stand up for everyone in football.

It's still my club and my team but all this corporate nonsense and chasing money is a barrel of shit.

Chatting about this place last night it does sound like some of the alternative pre match drinking holes in town and elsewhere are seeing a marked downturn in business since this place opened.

So call it an exciting new fan experience or an obvious attempt to bring even more of the pre match spend in house, personally I’d rather give my money to smaller businesses such as the many nice old pubs close to Brighton station. Plus in those I might even get a seat and be able to chat to friends etc. So for those reasons I’m out.
Yes, agree.

For the avoidance of doubt, I'm not knocking the Terrace at all. I'm sure many will enjoy it. The thumping 'duh duh' music doesn't work for me though. Pre/post match pints in a proper pub with mates is part of the joy of football for me.

I’m hoping the upstairs section will be open, I’m sure I read something about only downstairs was going to be open when the Palace beam back was announced

I wait with interest the viewing experience on Saturday. I have a vision of people going to and fro getting refills while game is on which maybe what club wants.
Watching beamback in hospitality lounges was perfect and if they used 3 of them a lot more could be seated.

Given the number of tickets sold / being sold, the upstairs will have to be open.

One lounge is open for the Brentford match but it includes a match ticket for the women’s game that day.
I watched the Charlton and Boro games in lounges and both were very organised

Is The Terrace open non match days?
Dicks was open every day for coffee, is The Terrace the same.
Will be passing by and love to pop in to see it without the crowds.

I have parking for the Palace Beamback and was waiting for more tickets to go on sale so I could go. But having read the comments about The Terrace on here, I don't think it's for me. Hope they run the old lounges pie and a pint option alongside in future.

I think its one of the best places to watch football certainly in Brighton. The screens are giant LED monsters.
As i've said before - a mate who is coming to Selhurst and will be no doubt be stuck behind a pillar and experiencing the lovely Croydon welcome , and the crumbling Arthur wait too - has had a drink in the Terrace and truly wishes he was there on Saturday rather than Croydon.
