I tried to send you the video but it’s too largeI did not see this, but what do you mean trying to invade the pitch? I'm no expert but it must be quite easy to invade the pitch? There's lots to aim for, and it is only protected by a small wall?
This entirely. I started taking our daughter to Fulham when she was 4 (Blackburn at home, we won 2-1) and it was thereafter a great dad and daughter day out - train to Putney, lunch in a Spoons (pre-Brexit) usually with away fans in attendance, and the walk to the Cottage and same seats with the same families as are there now.Well done for taking her to the football, my kids all started coming with me when they were 4 years old, off to places like Crewe, Walsall and Mansfield. They’re university age and older now but still come with me. Having time with them at the football is probably my favourite thing in life (probably sounds a bit sad). I really hope it hasn’t put your daughter off too much it’s a great thing to be able to share with her.

A couple of years later when I couldn't go one week, MrsBC used my ticket and our daughter navigated her from when they got off the train at Clapham to their seats via the newsagents where we bought our halftime Kitkats, the Bricklayers Arms and Bishops Park playground.
Our last game together was Everton away this season - she's now at University up north. It's special times with your children that hopefully they'll remember and pass on to their offspring and on down the generations (if they can afford the STs!).
Even when said Fulham fan finally snuffs it, he'd probably still be competitive. No one can top the pitch invader at Fulham, man had more pace than our Eiran
I think it’s a time when everyone is relaxed I did the league 1 & 2’s with mine and had some great days. We still reminisce on occasion.Well done for taking her to the football, my kids all started coming with me when they were 4 years old, off to places like Crewe, Walsall and Mansfield. They would be an extra charge and premium seating these days for any afters.I think it’s a time when everyone is relaxed I did the league 1 & 2’s with mine and had some great days. We still reminisce on occasion.
As a kid myself we were so used to it kicking off it didnt bother us I used to watch it and found it amusing. I remember one full on battle with QPR in the park after a night game, those not involved stood and watched on the way back to their cars parked around the dog track like it was part of the evenings entertainment![]()
Stewarding in that corner is consistently poor.I had a proper argument with Rosie the steward on the concourse tell her and the bald one they need re training as they wouldn’t eject them and took at least 2 mins to get down to the front they bottled it completely it was down the players response steward that actually did anything can’t wait to move next season
It doesn’t help when you got 2 stewards who think they own the stand, when in reality 1 of them needs to public relations school, and the other well I’m not going to commentStewarding in that corner is consistently poor.
Yeah as a kid used to love it kicking off and found it very exciting . The stories then told to jealous school mates the next day ( age 8 onwards )I think it’s a time when everyone is relaxed I did the league 1 & 2’s with mine and had some great days. We still reminisce on occasion.

No way, was that really the response? Can you share the wording?I sit in the swc my daughter in the front row was petrified, the group of 4/6 lads where Villa one had a villa top (was told to keep it covered) apparently they where no risk so decided not to kick em out , 2nd goal goes one of them wanted to go in the Villa end that’s when it all went off as I say my daughter at one point said I never want to come again , have the full video , sent to barber and his reply was away supporters will try and get close the the away end as possible in future we should go in the family stand !!!
His wording was, “ I suggest you use the family stand as away fans when unable to get tickets will go the closest section “ I deleted the email response as I was fuming and didt want to reply with anything sillyNo way, was that really the response? Can you share the wording?
I really hope your daughter is ok. My kids are grown up now but started coming regularly with me from the age of 5 (in the withdean era).
I’ve never sat in the family stand. PB’s response is the sort of thing you’d expect to be told by some moron who can only use the word C**T when watching a match.
She’s fine I think it was the shock of seeing someone acting like that and the fact is the person was clearly off his tits made the whole situation very unpredictable and the piss poor stewarding really didn’t help as I say had a chat with her she can’t wait to move next season and will be at the Leicester game next weekNo way, was that really the response?
