Replacing like-for-like or even (crazy talk I know) improving on the player stock. Sorry, but I just see that stock diminishing year-on-year. Lovely infrastructure tho
Crazy if you don’t have to worry about who writes the cheques.

You’d think that the bleeding obvious wouldn’t need pointing out.

Sadly it still won’t register.

Wow, you're on one. Maybe you can share with us some data as to which club has suffered the most from injuries this season, and that might indicate to you that fans' messageboards are full of entitled buffoons with a questionable grip on what actually occurs.
Clubs have injuries. It happens. Some more than most. Always too many for that club’s liking. Spurs have had a particularly bad run of it this season, going by the moaning coming out of their club. Us too, sure.
But Fab hasn’t worked wonders - the comment I was replying to. He hasn’t had to throw in six youth team players. He’s been lucky enough to draw on a very high quality squad. He’s done an ok job.

Core team slowly but surely being weakened. Infrastructure slowly but surely being strengthened.
Rejoice! Rejoice!

I’m not sure what you’re on about.
But if it helps - Clubs have to deal with injuries. It happens. Some more than most. Always too many for that club’s liking. Spurs have had a particularly bad run of it this season, going by the moaning coming out of their club. Us too, sure.

I wouldn't judge who has the most lost days through injuries by the amount of moaning coming from the club or fans. I would judge it by the actual statistical facts which actually show one club having significantly more injuries than any other

Ignore him. It helps. The guy is an absolute weapon. Nobody takes what he says seriously.

We have had the most days injured yes. That’s a fact. But we are not the only team to suffer significantly because of injuries.

Also , our injury days are distorted by milner who was never starting anyway

Is this really the best you've got? You probably couldn't find two posters on here that said that, although do go ahead. Even if you did manage to locate them, what's to say that those posters aren't utterly clueless? Not unlike many enjoying themselves on this thread in the past 23 hours.

It’s not the best I’ve got. Honestly, the best I have isn’t worth it. There is a lot of fragile ppl here. Ateotd we all want the Albion to do well.

I definitely read it somewhere, most likely here, and yep, most likely those ppl were clueless.

Couple of points to add here.
Most of our key players have actually been relatively injury free this season - Pedro, Bart, Mitoma, JPVH, pervis, Baleba, Rutter, Welbeck has been more available than other seasons.
And If Milner hadnt been given a new contract it would bring our injured days tally down a decent chunk.
So it is simply not true to say Fab has worked wonders. If the squad is so threadbare why allow Enciso and Ferguson - established players both - to go on loan? to get minutes I hear you say………exactly.
He has had resources many managers would dream of. And he’s done…. an Ok job.

This injury excuse is tiring we were the better side against Villa until those awful subs were made, still in the game at Palace until he went full on Lee Carsley and piled on every attacker available. Simply bad management why its hard to accept for some is baffling.

A team mostly made up of development signings? Right.
Are we talking about the same team? Of the top 30 appearance makers this season the only development players are Hinsh, Ferguson, Dunk and March. Presumably All of them picked on merit, rather than desperation to make up the numbers due to injuries.

I didn’t say academy players did I? I’m talking about players in need of development, those some way off being PL ready.

Core team just looks progressively weaker as we sell off many of our star players every summer and replace them with slightly inferior, er, replacements. That's not a sustainable football model. RDZ called it exactly right
Very valid point.
If, which is possible, JP, Mitoma, Baleba move on.

Do Young, Tzimas in, at what point are we are we with the project ? ( In league, cup, Euro progression etc?)

What are you on about ? The subs were mainly like for like. The two last ones were Ayari and Wieffer.

2-1 down 55 mins
63 mins brings on Pedro for O’Reily, Adingra for Mitoma who was clearly tiring.
72 mins March for Minteh, Gruda for Gomez. Then Weiffer for Hinch in injury time. We didn’t concede a goal in that time - but needed one and you’re complaining about bringing on too many attackers. Maybe he should have shut up shop and hope to hit them on the break? Baffling.

I think generally we have the most PL ready squad we have ever had.
When we sign a player for 20 million plus we arent doing with a long term run up of development in mind. They are signed with the expectation that they can get up to speed fairly quickly. And we have a fair few of them.
