The other thing was that just where they had been playing, it then got filled with all the bus drivers who had bought fans to the game. These were the old petrol blue southdown uniforms
This is quite simply a real life Monty Python sketch. What scenes.

Certainly was there. That shot from case was just amazing. Was behind the goal there, it started off heading for one side and served enough to the other. Unstoppable. Fantastic day.

I got lucky. I wasn’t going as my dad couldn’t get a ticket for either of us. But the night before his friend’s daughter got chicken pox and they offered her ticket to me. My dad was already working so off I went with them. Amazing day.
So you went as..... a female?
Was there outrage? ???

Yes, of course.

If you were of an age to attend, you would be there. Anyone of an age who chose to not attend, is really not a proper long-standing supporter.

Probably just one of the regular trolls on this forum like @Watford Zero.
Bit harsh

I was there.

It was my first away game.

My dad took me as he got tickets from someone that had got better tickets in the seats.

I can see my head in the front row as jimmys goal went in.

I was 9 and all I can remember was the crowds on the tube and at the stations both ends. Think it might’ve been my first time on the underground.

I also can picture the bar in the clock end and and my dad having a pint before KO.

I was there, we bunked off school to queue for tickets and our photo was on the front page of the Argus!

Only time I’ve ever bought a ticket off a tout outside the ground.

I was living in Lincolnshire at the time and had arranged to meet my brother at Highbury who had my ticket.

No sign of him by 2:45 so panicked and bought a ticket. Obviously my brother then turned up about 5 minutes later 🤦‍♂️
why didn't you call him on his mobile? oh ...........

Couldn't go as Dad couldn't afford it. Was playing football in the patch up the top of Picton Street with friends and had my radio with me. The other kids were Man Utd and Liverpool fans and didn't give a f*** about us winning. I was going jumping up and down and cheering. I hope it's not like that with Brighton kids these days.
