Ah, a man of taste!

One of the first games I played was Police Quest 2. Loved point and clock after that.

There's a load of good contemporary ones too. Technobabylon is worth a run through and I've been eyeing up The Excavation of Hob's Barrow for a while as well.
Technobabylon was superb!!!

Mariokart snes
Street fighter 2
Command and conquer Red alert - PC
Champ manager in late 90s before it got too detailed.
Jonah lomu rugby PS
Tiger woods golf ps2
Brian Lara’s cricket PS
Micro machines 4 player ps2
Sensible soccer.
Far cry (can’t remember the latest number but enjoyed it)

I'll try not to make this list too long.....

Console;
Super Mario World - best game of all time IMO
Majority of early Zeldas and Marios tbh
Sonic 2
Goldeneye
Pro Evo Soccer 2 & 4
Final Fantasy VII
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Pokemon Red - playing this on the original brick Game Boy, loved it
GTA V
Oblivion - must be the game that I've rebought/redownloaded the most times, then each time I remember I have kids and a fairly demanding job and just can't give the hours it needs
Minecraft - boo all you want, magical times with my young son on this

Then over on PC;
Age of Empires II
C&C: Red Alert 2
The Curse of Monkey Island (MI3)
Championship Manager 97/98
Dungeon Keeper
Theme Hospital
Civilisation II
Deus Ex - cursory nod to @jcdenton08 - what a f***ing game
Max Payne

I could go on for a very, very, very long time.

I recently got one of those consoles that play both SNES & Mega Drive games to introduce to my son. Just having the old cartridges is so cool. I forgot how fun these games were.

Smash TV, Super Punchout, International Superstar Soccer Deluxe, oh the memories.

Nobody's mentioned my favourite: DOTA 2

Other than that it would have to be the Soulsborne games (Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring), Football Manager and Pokémon.

Me and my mates who I played cod with during covid all downloaded it tonight and played a couple of hours. We are still crap. My 16 year old lad joined us and got more kills than the rest of us put together. We had a blast. Good to be back in vedensk but we are just crap.

All my favourites bar one or two have been mentioned. Skyrim I could play forever, smashed both of the Horizon's over Christmas and new year, Red Alert (many a fun hour editing the rules.ini file and changing the attacks of the dogs to be Tesla Coils at short range and Cruiser rounds at long range.) and Goldeneye (no Oddjobs).

Two that I haven't seen, or may have missed. Total Annihilation and Diablo 2/3 (can't decide between the two).

my username gives away my favourite (and, in my opinion, greatest narrative game of all time).

I always thought it was your name. Which just goes to prove I is not a gamer.

Number Invaders would be my pick (available on the Casio MG880 calculator ‘platform’).
Then Asteroids.
Then Tetris.
Then Pong.

I is very old skool.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Although I have spent many more hours on TOTK the experience of exploring Hyrule for the first time in BOTW just edges it for me. Prior to that Ocarina of Time was probably my favourite game.
