Silly old bat
I’m fairly sure it was still there up to 2004, and also granny weatherwax. So, 'Dave the Gaffer' must have been pre 2003 then?

Yes mateIs Laura a nurse and does she know Brett Mendoza (mind you who doesn’t)? If so, I knew her (but not well) a long time ago.
This is the point I was trying to get at earlier in this thread but also in other threads when discussing toxicity of fans. You can have the best transport links, prematch fanzone and everything, but it's whether people enjoy what they are seeing on the pitch that get people to turn up.

Everyone I know who supports the Albion has done so for a long time, the events on the pitch are at worst a distraction to a day out and at best a great experience. However, what we see on the pitch does not affect whether we turn up. Never had done and I cannot see this changing.
Congratulations to her.Yes mate
Thanks mate, I’ll tell herCongratulations to her.
True. I was thinking more about season tickets retention though. I wonder how many of these are influenced by events on the pitch. Old Withdean and beyond fans must be less so?Imho it’s a mixed picture. When we’re flying, 28k home supporters physically turn up even for evening games in term time, we saw this in 2022/23. The Amex was rammed. Transport groans secondary.
During bad results spells and key injuries, shave 5k off that. In the NS, ESL and WSL so many empty seats this season. All around us tons of no shows and seats not resold. Swathes of ESL and WSL seats really apparent in the stadium and watching on TV.
Not a new thing. 70’s Goldstone gates were up and down like a yo-yo.
Granny weatherwax, pitbull, Dies Irae to name a fewDave the gaffer - thanks to Roz when i managed the REMF team
Publius Ovidious - when I was doing my classics degree and was reading Ovid

Oh get in mate!Granny weatherwax, pitbull, Dies Irae to name a few
I suspect it only shows changes that have occurred since this iteration (Xenforo) of the website has been in place (no idea how long that is now - three years?).So, 'Dave the Gaffer' must have been pre 2003 then?
Must admit i was a bit puzzled too when i started looking at this. I am now wondering if the 24000 figure is pretty much only the regular ST holders and that 1901 is separate to that figure. Also the season tickets have been on sale since March and maybe we have already sold most of the ones that were not renewed. This would explain the lack of availability in the more popular areas.I was going to say that just because there are 2,000 seats available for selection to a new ST purchaser, that doesn't mean there are 2,000 season tickets remaining to be sold, but I'm struggling with the maths a bit.
My assumption is that the club make every unsold seat available for new STH to select from, but they would halt sales at the point they determine they want to stop at in order to leave a reasonable number for match-by-match sales.
That doesn't seem to quite work out, though, as the number of STH/1901ers was around 24k. c3k seats are allocated to away fans. Even if we assume the take-up of STHS was 100% (it wasn't, but we don't know how many new STs have already sold, there should be a lot more than c2,000 available to choose from now.
I don't see why the club would hold back a lot of seats now, and there are a lot of "unattractive" seats in the SE and SW corners available to select from.
This might need the input of a ticket guru, such as @Dave the hatosaurus!
I'm pretty sure that the c24k includes the c3k 1901ers.Must admit i was a bit puzzled too when i started looking at this. Using that as a guide then the figures would roughly equate to ST holders 24000, 1901 3000, away section 3000, balance being those yet to be sold.
If that is not the case then as you have correctly pointed out there would appear to be a discrepancy between the amount of tickets currently on sale and what one would expect.
Yes i remember you posting that, so i am not sure what the answer is. I am irritated with myself for not looking at these in March when things should have been more clear. If we look at an early home match next season before the exchange opens, and there are a good few seats in every section that are not showing in the ST sales section now, it will be very interesting.I'm pretty sure that the c24k includes the c3k 1901ers.
I know I pasted it on a thread recently, but the away ticketing tier calcs the club gave me bracketed them both together, and summed to 24k.
We have exceeded Potter under FabI wonder what the cause is:
- financial pressures
- aging fan base not being replaced
- too many inconvenient kick off times
- not matching the heights of the Potter / RDZ 6th placed finish season
- novelty of the Premier League wearing off.
From a selfish point of view I’m happy that once I’m able to have a season ticket again (waiting for small children to get a bit older) there shouldn’t be any problem getting one.

A quick count shows there are currently just over 3,000 tickets to chose from when you go to purchase a new season ticket.
Approx breakdown for stands is as follows
North - 100
North Shelf - 40
East Lower - 1200
East Upper - 540
South - 300
West Lower - 380
West Upper - 490
Does anyone know if they've already kept back some tickets for match by match general sale or if all unsold seats are shown on the system and the sale of new season tickets will stop when they reach a certain number, my guess is the later to give season ticket holders the best choice of tickets.
I’m waiting as youngest (albion+) wants one and wasn’t in the first window
When I checked there were c2,000 seats still on offer.
No news yet on next window as far as I know
Ticket sales seem to have ground to a halt. I had a count up yesterday morning and then again this morning and the actual amount available has gone up (only by about 10), this is probably due to people having tickets in baskets when I completed the count. The only stand that seems to have gone down in the last day is the North Stand.
There are currently just under 2700 tickets available to chose from when purchasing a new season ticket. If as it appears the demand in the first two priority groups has pretty much exhausted I'd hope that the club would open it up to the other Albion+ members who haven't had a chance to purchase one at the very least.
Down to 49 tickets in North, 274 in South, 658 in West, and 1,410 in East by my count.
