I knew I had seen the name 'Moscow City' or 'Moskva City' a few days ago. It's out to the west of the centre, containing a few skyscrapers.

This is apparently another attack which couldn't be prevented by anti-aircraft defences. Only this time, it was in Moscow.

Now Ukraine has proof of concept. One of the replies on the Kirzhach attack post suggested we will now see increased hostilities. I'm inclined to agree.
I saw something on YouTube that said this incident was a car bomb in the underground car park of a shopping centre. It certainly seems to be something that can’t be dismissed as an “accident” as per Russia’s usual excuses.

Here we go. Right on cue.

Trump blaming his failed negotiations on Zelenskyy.

I know this is harsh, but I wish someone would kill Trump.

“Trump accuses Zelenskyy of jeopardising imminent peace deal

US president attacks Ukrainian counterpart for complaining Kyiv is unwilling to cede Crimea to Russia”

The implication here (and in Eric’s post immediately prior to yours) is that maybe the US isn’t as important as it thinks it is. Donald will struggle to cope with being a major loser
What I didn't communicate earlier is the extraordinary extent of the EU's determination to defend its members.

Ursula von der Leyen has announced a plan to invest 800 billion Euros over the next five years into defence infrastructure and manufacturing.
Trump has said Europe needs to step up.

I'm not sure he fully appreciated what he started. He has woken Germany up.

(This is the bloke who wonders why US cars don't sell in Europe).

I literally don't know what's holding Europe from just lobbing in the 250billion or so of seized Russian assets as a slush fund for all the weapons it can muster. Let it happen, let's get ukraine supercharged instead of drip fed

Perhaps the craziest part of this nonsense, is not Trump accusing Zelenskyy of jeopardising deal, certainly not Zelenskyy saying no to handing over sovereign Ukrainian territory against Ukraine constitution or international law.

It's that Zelenskyy said publicly that nobody from the US had informed them or showed them these proposals, they had leaked, prompting Zelenskyy rebuttal comments, and they were to be presented in London today, before Rubio and Witless pulled out after Zelenskyy refused to hand over Crimea.

So this deal Zelenskyy is accused of jeopardising was in no way negotiated by Ukraine, it was just US and Russia, its details werent even advised to Ukraine.

It was all setup for the high pressure time share sales pitch today in London.

It's madness of Trump to think a genocidal fascist rewriting borders by force and mass murdering civillians is just a simple real estate deal where he can bully a signature to whatever BS he himself with the genocidal fascist has written.

Just hope this strengthens the resolve of Europe, Japan and other allies not to bow down to Trump. He is making it a no brainer.

Its a total surrender/capitulation deal for Ukraine, where Trump gets to feed.on their carcass too.

Art of the appeasement
As Jonathan Fink said on his latest Silicon Curtain video, "if Ukraine had really wanted to capitulate and surrender it could easily have done that by itself - they really didn't need the US to go to so much effort to try to organise it for them"
Well said 👏🏼👏🏼

I think Jake Broe said that if the UK and EU members increase their defence budgets by 0.2%, it would replace, annually, all the military supplies that the US supplied (soon to stop).
Something like that...

bit weird though after week or so of positive vibes suddenly all negative. and for that nothing materially changed, a leaked proposal that has no hope of Ukrainian agreement. wasn't long back there was murmurs of a proposal with no hope Russian agreement. neither side will budge, US walk away painting both sides as unwilling to negotiate. all that remains is what US-Russian relations follow, do they build bridges anyway or proper walk away?

24 Hours

Takes advantage of the invasion, by trying on some obscene asset stripping minerals deal in perpetuity.

100 days (7 days to go, so not looking good)

Blames one of the participants, in this case the victim and not the aggressor. WTF?

Walks off the pitch before the pundits can apportion blame?

It's all a bit shit isn't it?

Yes, thoroughly depressing. That said, this end has been long predicted and all we've been seeing up to now is the pantomime 'peace negotiations'.

I think the only thing to cheer us up now will be some intense Ukrainian spanking of Russian targets, European (and allies) uniting effectively against Trump/Putin, and hopefully some kind of Russian financial collapse.

But they (he) seem to be walking away painting Ukraine as unwilling - not 'both sides'.

That's because Trump believed he could bully Ukraine into capitulation so Witless got Russias list of demands and then tries to bypass Europe and force it upon Ukraine as a fait accompli.

Trump was far more interested in the fanfare of how any old deal would reflect well on him, as an alleged "deal maker", and not in its actual contents.

Work with one side, get a stitch up of all their demands, then try and railroad the other side.

That's it.

Ukraine unwilling to give up its sovereign territory that the US were a guaranter of shocker. Europe really needs to stand its ground now, it is us who are in the firing line if that c**t in the Kremlin is rewarded/appeased for war crimes. Fortunately it looks like Europe is waking up to the idea that it will have to look after itself. We have some amazing defence companies producing quality equipment, and Ukraine have shown amazing ingenuity in drone and robotic warfare. If the US, which it clearly doesn't, have any interest in a just peace, then I hope Ukraine tells them to f*** off and shove their mineral deal up Trumps arse

I've little doubt that Trump is setting this up so there's no deal that can be accepted.

He'll walk away from it blaming both parties but publicly lamenting Zelensky for saying it how it is, and say eff all to Russia publicly, and have a pally call with Putin saying what a great portrait it is and send him some nice vodka.
What will follow is no more military support for Ukraine, sanctions lifted on Russia, and a trade deal with no tariffs to Russia hoping no one remembers they were excluded from his flip chart as sanctions were already covering that and there is currently effectively little to no trade.
Oh and if the deal in Ukraines minerals gets through in the mean time, he'll give Putin a slice of the pie, and probably support their military protecting the mines on land which isn't theres

Or something.

Holding out some hope that the minerals deal doesn't happen, because it will bite zelensky in the arse.

Merz looks like exactly the right man at the right time for Europe and Ukraine.

Cannot wait for him to assume the chancellorship in the coming days.
