Agreed. Take that to the training ground, and suddenly ideas, commands, reasoning, feedback, you name it, are better understood, digested, and acted upon.
Communication is everything.
Palace coach driver used that as well.
Good to see people waking up to the obstructive spiteful 'man' RDZ was. Refreshing from Fabian.

Very droll but not sure an English Palace coach driver would be shouting “Durchlaufen’ from the touchlines I suspect the literal translation is not entirely reflective of how Hürzeler meant it - wiki has it meaning

probably not but you don’t have to read my posts - I was simply expanding on a reply I had made in response to someone earlier wondering what catchphrases Hürzeler uses.
Given the months and months and numerous threads where people analysed every tiny nuance of the words RDZ used, pages and pages on tactical analysis and detailed analysis of numerous other subjects from beer to god knows what, incuding a whole thread on Hürzeler’s hair ffs, I’m not sure two short posts from me referring to one of Hürzeler’s catchphrases qualifies as “over analysis “ on NSC

You're probably right. Maybe I'm expecting a bit too much. All the cliches and soundbites are certainly true of the players, especially when they're knackered after a game, but I somehow expect a bit more from a manager. Obviously I know none of them want to give any secrets away, but at least they could try to be creative and entertaining when dodging the questions.
The worst interviews I've seen are those at tennis tournaments immediately after they finish a game. I have absolutely no idea what the point is or why the players don't collectively refuse to do them (unless they've changed in the last couple of years since I last noticed this).

As many people have already been watching his press conference, let me respond to some of your thoughts:
Grounded guy
Yes, absolutely. After his first games as a head coach, he'd usually leave the stadium as the last person. I know as after the games, my mates and I usually stand in front of the south stands, have a pint, watch the players leave, thank them for their efforts and maybe have a chat with our sporting director or club president. All happens after games. But he usually left last, after all players left. Wearing a long winter coat, hoodie up, sliding out the door, walking home.
After the team won games, he'd usually be in the background having fans celebrating the players, as his motivation is to help players become better, work better as a team and winning together. When he said, "I can't say what our goals are, this needs to come from the players", he means that. Until the end it was not clear what the team said. But apparently the team said they wanted to win the league, after the last season. Guess what ... they did!

From day one, even when he was assistant coach, he'd be in the video analysis sessions, leading the way. What wasn't his call was formation and the way we played as a team. That only kicked in, once he was appointed head coach and was given some staff additions. He then changed formation, changed the way we played, improved not only one but basically the majority of players and as he said "I want to create a team, that nobody wants to play against!", he achieved exactly that. Nobody liked playing against us. Uwe Hünemeyer explained this in one of your podcasts.
Bad Haircut
I believe he did a hair transplant once. But yes, it's ... well ... we have to get used to it, I think.
My take and what you can expect
I am sure he will change the mentality of some of the players, help them improve and add more to the game as individuals. But also, you may see a change in dynamics. I am sure he will be focusing on stabilizing the defense. As he is bringing Knoop as his assistant and Goalie Coach, you'll see a calm approach to open the game from the back and also, an unstoppable effort to defend goals and making sure to not concede! His philosophy remains simple: Concede none, score one! Formular to success. This is essentially what made us not lose. To win, he only needed the players to enjoy attacking and being smart about it.
That being said, I wish you all the best with Fabian and his Staff from Germany. They are all very good guys and hard working people. I suggest, you give him some time to settle and work and everything else will develop naturally. I do not expect him to attack the top 4-6 in his first season. But as he is eager to learn, I am sure he will improve as a manager and the longer you (can) keep him, it will be successful. (Don't tag me if it goes to shits

I thought it was interesting in the video the club put out of him walking around at the club that he met with Welbeck. The rest of the players aren't back until, what, next week, I think. So why's Danny so keen? Not that that's a bad thing.
To start an unfounded rumor, maybe they are thinking about Danny for some kind of coaching role in addition to playing duties? Or perhaps they asked him to come in early since they see him as a leader amongst the players (and with Dunk currently warming the bench in Germany)?
