I just hope they pick someone young. With our form, it would be dreadful to be in the same category as Birmingham City who never won during a papacy (Pope John Paul 1 in 1978).
Personally, I find it impossible to even start to compare watching a game of football on the TV with watching it live, but perhaps that should be a separate thread.
So that’s me (tier 1) and my nephew (Albion+) with tickets, but I struck last week and he had to wait until today. Shame, because I could have waited until today and we’d have been together. It’s all a bit of a gamble isn’t it. Do the club contemplate shuffles for away games to try to get us...
There is a case for the club having a single, known, point of contact for all dealings with a player. Surely that’s better than the player having unknown agents behind them. And agents do perform a role. You can’t expect all people who are good at kicking footballs being good at negotiating with...
yea, wouldn’t it be dreadful if a toxic fan slagged-off an individual Brighton player endlessly on social media. Just to pull a name from the air: Enciso.
I’m no expert but not sure about that. Firstly, there are flood gates on all under-Thames tube-lines. Also, the Thames barrier claims to be able to let downstream water out even when shut (can’t for the life of me work out how).
I always use that route going to the midlands. It’s a bit slower (but cheaper) but at least you always get a good view. In contrast, see photo for the marvellous view I got on a recent Avanti train out of Euston. With Chiltern railway you also get the bonus (for a train geek) of using Marylebone...
I booked a train for a long weekend (going Friday returning Monday). Using Splitmyfare and Old Person’s railcard I got a return for £26 from Seaford which was a pleasant surprise. Hotels in Birmingham look cheaper than normal as well.
I’ve got my ticket but I’ve a friend with fewer points waiting for their window. If they can’t get into my block can anyone remember if all the blocks back onto the same concourse? There are so many blocks they might divide it up. I went last year but can’t remember.
You can get that info (not as pretty) without writing an app.
Go to https://tiger.worldline.global/home. Then type in a station name (like Falmer) then click on “CIS summary” and you get this:
If its function is to reduce queues at the station, it worked for me. I left the west stand after the penalties (8:10?), walked straight to the station, straight down the ramps and straight onto the 8:25 Seaford train, and was home by shortly after nine.
It’s mostly long trains on the lines through Falmer at the moment. The trains from Seaford are 7 or 8 carriages, but there are an annoying pair of 4 coach sets trundling to and from Eastbourne. Maybe they’ll pick up some carriages at some point in the day.
